IF YOU WERE born in the United States within the last 50 or so years,
chances are good that one of the first things you did as a baby was give a DNA sample to the government.

I'm 50, but they took everything but my dirty undies when I came here. Cheek DNA, eyeball scan, fingerprints and I think finger bone biometrics. The fingerprint scan had a weird hand layout part with pegs which I think was for biometrics.

"Police Used a Baby's DNA to Investigate Its Father for a Crime".

If they're gonna do stuff like this, then they OUGHT to use a baby's DNA to investigate its mother for a crime, too...like fraudulently claiming another person as the father and stealing tens and hundreds of thousands of dollars in support as a result.

That would have a far greater impact.

Not for the gov it wouldn’t. So no interest…

FBI headquarters or the AFT would be my vote, but any .gov agency of your choice is acceptable.
Actually, I'm beginning to like this idea, but I'd use some chicken sh*t for the stains in the back, maybe mixed with some dog squeeze.

I remember reading about a case many years ago where a man left his wife and child after learning that she had an affair. He paid alimony and child support, and she remarried. Turns out she married the child's biological father. So the guy was stuck paying child support to a biologically intact family.

Regarding the original post, I remember thinking about this when my kids were born ~20 years ago. They took 4-5 samples, but only a couple were used for genetic testing and the rest were kept on file. You know, for your safety and protection.

What do you guys think 23 and me is?
Yeah 100% the feds have their hands in those pots.

I just assume at this point the government knows everything there is to know about me. Information havesting through social media, Google maps, you name it. If they wanted it, they could have a full dossier on every single one of us in a few hours.

Still takes eform 4s 6 months to process though 😁.

Buddy of mine asked the other day if I was worried about doing a form 4 for a can because "now I'll be on a list." I told him I was a Tricare baby and I've been on the list for years (as a joke)

I had no idea they were saving DNA.

If you were in the military, they have your DNA. If you have ever done genealogy DNA (with any of the genealogy sites), they can get your DNA (but a lot of hoops to jump through). It ain't hard.
I joined before they started collecting DNA. My dental records were VERY detailed for id purposes.

They may have kept some from a medically needed blood draw, but IIRC they never said so.

So, no DNA on file for me..... right? Cause we can trust them...
