I realize this is an older thread but I’m interested specifically in the Burris FF3 you have on your ak-v.
Which mount are you using and does it cowitness with the irons?
Are you still happy with your akv?
Thank you

Will the regular ALG AKT trigger work in AKV? I have one from 4, 5 years ago and it's been sitting.
Who else is still shooting theirs despite the barren 9mm wasteland we currently find ourselves in?
Made mine even better today, with the addition of an ALG trigger tuned by PSA for the AKV:

Night and day difference. I have ALG triggers (owned by Bill Geissele's wife, Amy Lynn. Hmm, I wonder what her company's abbreviation stands for?) in several of my AK rifles and they are fantastic. Pretty straightforward install here, though the MAC bracket really does interfere with the hammer spring during removal/installation, especially if you want to prevent that infamous cobra bite. Though I typically leave it off my ALG-equipped rifles, I did opt to install the auxiliary spring on this. The trigger pull without it is reported to be about 2 lbs. and I didn't want to risk any bump fires indoors. However, I will probably remove it and test out this thing the next time I get outdoors. Even with the aux spring, the trigger is super light and crisp with about a millimeter of creep.
Quick run to the indoor range after work tonight to test it out. Fifteen rounds of Freedom Munitions reman 115 grain (or about $45 worth of ammo at today's prices ) at 25 yards. I aimed for the hole in the middle of the "6" and my red dot is zeroed for 50 yards, so this will do:
This damn gun still makes me feel like a kid every time I shoot it. So much fun! I've fed it just about every type of 9mm projectile, grain weight, factory/reloaded/remanned, brass/steel/aluminum-cased variant I own, and I can't get the thing to malfunction. Still going strong without a single hiccup.
Has anyone seen them come back in stock lately? I'd like to grab one since the PSA AR-V is kind of a let down, at least until they are selling complete or stripped lowers.
ARV lower plus CMMG RDB 5" barrel and bolt combo. That's what I want. So I want to buy the lower and build the upper. They had a model or two in stock a few weeks ago...didn’t last long from what I saw. There are a few YouTube vids on how to catch items in stock on PSAs site...don’t depend on the in stock notifications.
Also, just based on your comment above about the AR-V...pretty sure the lower and upper are proprietary, so a stripped/complete lower is a no-go without their upper. Just curious on what are you looking for to be different on the AR-V? They’ve got 5 models out now...3 with 10.5 barrel, 1 with 8 and 1 with a 4. I’m assuming they’ll end up with many more, like with the AK-V. I didn’t get one yet as I went toy shopping recently!
I shot my AK-V suppressed this weekend and got to try out a PSA mag with the extension (50 rounds). The mag ran flawlessly and the gun suppressed was fun!

Is there a source or confirmation the upper is proprietary?
Not exactly what you’re looking for but this popped up this week for the AR-V...you can at least customize the barrel, stock/brace and handguard. Not sure about the barrel compatibility...it says something about converting your PA-9 to the AR-V in the description.ARV lower plus CMMG RDB 5" barrel and bolt combo. That's what I want. The AK-V is the most fun to shoot PCC I have ever fired. That thing just puts a smile on anyone’s face who shoots it.itching to shoot. I took the AK-Vin the Extar EP9 Out today. EP9 was fun but the AK-V is ridiculous.
running plate racks etc. inside of 25 yards was almost too easy.
I have the classic handguard, but want to upgrade to something I can use to mount a light. This is the Magpul fore end just the stock AK version?
SLR AK-V hand guard is very nice, but not cheap. If you want a Magpul to fit it, PM me (or whatever it’s called now)...it’s grey, but will cost you nothing! Got a grip to match too.itching to shoot. I took the AK-V and the Extar EP9 Out today. EP9 was fun but the AK-V is ridiculous.
