Now Vic some speculationnas to whether she was targetting a pastor at the sponsering Presbyterian church for the school.,he had been counseling her, couldnt find him so possibly went after his daughter who was one of the kids killed.

Private schools like the one in Nashville should have the ability to hire their own security personnel, if they choose to do so. Put it to a vote with the parents and if they are for it, raise tuition accordingly. My son is in private school now and I would be willing to pay a few hundred extra dollars a year to fund private security. I’m not sure on all of the laws involved but I would assume private schools could train and arm their staff as well. I don’t know why so few seem willing to do that. It could be that school shootings, while very tragic, are fairly rare.

Some of the private schools … especially like Covenant being Christian … may tend to lean away from having guns in their school. The more progressive churches are posting No Guns just as always … no matter what happens in a small Texas Town to a Nashville church school. Even in churchs who now have covert inhouse security teams there are still parishioners and elders who still try to fight guns being allowed. On the education front teachers seem to be even more anti-gun than many religious leaders so the flack from teachers toward the school as well as toward those teachers who would step up to carry might be worse. Personally I would not give a rats ass who didn’t like me carrying (and have actually have had snide comments and looks at my church over it) but IF something ever happened I bet they’d be begging for someone to do something.
 
I froze my ass off standing in line for four hours last month to get my granddaughter into preschool for this fall. My son is now understandably worried about the security at this church preschool. I told him to check it out thoroughly. The momma says you can’t go through life scared.

The hell you can’t.

At 10:12:05 a.m. Monday, a woman calling from the office of the nursery said, "We do have a school person, or two ... I'm not sure ... who would be packing, whose job it is for security. We don't have security guards, but we have staff."

She did not name who typically carried weapons, and it is not clear whether those staff members were at the school at the time of the shooting.
 
I wonder if you would have the aggressive find 'em and stop 'em approach from armed staff that you saw from the Nashville police... would need to be trained to do that at a moments notice. Switch from teaching and caring, to running toward shots and shooting at one or more kids, right damn now!

Prolly best to have both armed staff and fast police response.

Burlington Christian Academy started taking it seriously last year. Can only get in through the main office door, and to get past that you have to be given a badge and buzzed in through the next door. The lady manning that walkway is behind bulletproof glass.

There are multiple buildings, but you don't get inside any without first going to that office. I guess you could wait for some class to switch buildings, but there is a Burlington PD on site at all times whose daughter goes to the school. He is almost always outside in the parking area. I'm not scared, but it definitely put my wife at ease. I'm only four miles from the school, but Burlington PD's headquarters is a mile and a half. In the orientation several other parents asked about security so whoever said that security would sell a school I'm sure that is the reason some kids are there.
 
I can't say what I want to say in open forum, but Biden said trannies shape our nations soul while making this announcement. They want violence to break out.

Given the tiny percentage of the population that identifies as something other than biological male or biological female I can't bring myself to believe they're catering to them. It's wasted effort for no reward. I suspect it's more likely that their antics are intended to poke the bear to get a real Jan 6 type of event.

That was my thought as well. That's why I said they want violence. Anyone not wanting violence wouldn't do this days after a shooting and the day before the "trans vengeance day."

It isn't catering to them, but their radicalized base, of which quite a few people here believe should be armed.

Pandering to the Trans demographic and telling them they are being "attacked" indeed makes sense strategically if you want an already mentally impaired and emotionally unstable group to act out violently. Here is a recent NPR report on Rainbow Reload:

 
Both Babylob Bee and The White House are hilarious as always. But one crazy person shot up a school. Let's not blame this on people who didn't do it. I agree with some of what's posted above but it's not relevant. One person - who is now dead - shot up a school.

Many Christian pre-schools/schools are non-profits and do not get the same level of help from outside sources like public schools get. Nearly every dime they get comes from fundraisers/tuition/fees. Most run on a shoestring budget due to this. So when told to "harden up" it is difficult for them to find the money for hiring security, installing bullet proof glass, fancy badge systems and so forth. They dont have the government teat to suck on for all this.

Now, there are things that many can, and often do. Things like locked doors, keycodes, escape routes, limiting visitation, increasing visibility to the outside and entryways. But for most that is about all they can do.

Bottom line, in my opinion, is that while we should always be looking for ways to become harder targets for evil, evil will find a way eventually. It has all the time in the world to think, plan, assess, and execute. And more and more the world sympathizes with evil. Just look at how much discussion of this beasts "gender" is being tossed around. As mentioned above, this is the first time I have ever seen the media take the side of a shooter.

I do not recall the exact quote, but it goes something like "Evil at first seeks refuge under the guise of oppression, it then seeks to promote tolerance so that it can come out of hiding, and at a point it is so open that it then becomes the oppresor." Which in my opinion is what we are seeing. We went from "White Chirstian Conservatives hate all gay people and oppress us at every turn" to "You have to accept my deviance because we should accept all, regardless of how mentally unstable I may be." to "Since you would not give in and accept my ways, you will be punished violently and if you think what we are doing is wrong, then you are part of the problem and will be punished too."
 
I don't even think this qualifies as DARVO. It's even more heinous and non sensical. They are using the Club Q shooting as proof of trans hate when the shooter was non binary!

You can't even have a conversation with any lying POS that believe this garbage.

TLDR Once a group gets acceptance and power they become the monsters they claim to fight.

I was called crazy for thinking like this early on and seeing it coming. The left has become the monster they claimed to fight.
