I'm no biblical scholar, but I totally missed the part where jesus was killing children to score political points for his side. Damn, there is some wild stuff in that book.... did he get the romans to call for civilian sword control?

Perhaps she will be the first one.

For those who may be confused, no, Jesus did not go into a synagogue full of children and bash them to death with a staff before his crucifixion. This isnt even in the red letters.

I challenge any pro transgender person to back up the mantra that gender affirming care needs to be provided pronto no questions asked with solid data. Some few brave medical people are starting to speak up saying there is hardly any because the thing is too new and most studies floating around are entirely biased. I suspect if this wasn't made out to be the coolest thing ever most of these kids would just grow out of it. Or has anybody ever heard of children going through phases (sarcasm)?

When I was growing up, “coming out” in any queer way would have been a sure fire ticket to intense ridicule and likely physical beatings.

Hopefully you are not approving of this criminal assault and battery, either then or now.
Of course I don't approve of criminal assault and battery, that goes without saying. It's also not what I had in mind when I used the term, "when I was growing up".

The point remains, though. 40-50 years ago, all this LGBTSTFU stuff wouldn't have been tolerated in society and social pressure was enough to keep most of it underground. Now that it's out of the closet, we have them saying, "submit to our demands or we will kill you."

There have always been gay people, and I find it entirely reasonable that they want the same legal rights that everyone else has - marriage, spousal health insurance, spousal estate rights, workplace protection, hospital visitation, etc.

But this is drastically different than providing drugs and/ or surgical procedures to confused or depressed people, especially children. Or having the presidential administration and news networks sympathizing with a mass murderer because of how they identify themself. We can certainly agree that much of the reaction from those in power has been outrageous.

Ain't there...

Though, Christ did mention children in the 2nd verse of Luke 17..

“It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.”

Absolutely agree. I am of the opinion that the “religious right” lost the marriage argument when marriage became a secular govt function. I believe who you are attracted to is a natural / biological function, not a “lifestyle” and everybody should have the same right to pursue that which makes them happy

Absolutely. What’s happening today is a perversion, and I believe an extreme version of cultural Marxism.

To try put what I was trying to say in a better perspective, and any moderators please understand the context here: if you were in anyway perceived as “off”, back in the day you would have been labeled to an inability to deny or denounce being called: a fag, a homo, a queer, etc. You would have been as much a pariah as someone who admitted to jerking off. You would have been ostracized. The lack of immense social pressure, coupled with the inability to escape the 100% online is what’s different today.

The same yes, of course. The problem is they want special rights. I am straight and I can't force a gay baker to bake me cake celebrating me being married to a woman. Why should it be okay the other way round?

There is a lot of confusion as we grow up. I think we have more gay folks today than we had before because where peer pressure used to keep folks near the norm as they worked through their confusion, and nobody wanted to be different for that particular reason, now we celebrate and encourage that decision. Kids put labels on themselves, and it’s hard to change how we identify ourselves.

You would have to provide a much better example of special rights that gay people enjoy. Are there bakers that won't prepare a cake for a straight couple? I sincerely doubt it, though there are some that hide their prejudice behind a biblical phrase to ostracize gays. But you don't see them stoning people to death in the town square, owning slaves, abstaining from pork and shellfish, forbiddingwomen from speakingin church, or consider hatred to be equal to murder. All of that stuff is in the bible.

In no way does anyone have to bake a cake for anyone for any reason.

In other words I, as a cake baker, can decide on a case-by-case basis, who I want to bake a cake for and who I don't. I don't need to give you a reason. And if I do give you a reason and you don't like it -- tough luck buddy.

Go make your own %@!$#% cake.

I sort of disagree with your first statement. There have also always been people born with predispositions for violence, getting addicted to something (i.e. alcoholics), or other conditions or behaviors that most people would consider negative or destructive. As with physical birth defects, they happen and it sucks to be you, but then it's up to you to overcome it the best you can. So whether it is a lifestyle choice or they are "born that way", people that are attracted to the same sex and give in to those desires are no worse than people who engage in other negative behaviors and we all do to some extent. People should not be ostracized or demeaned for those behaviors but IMO they also should not be normalized. Same with "trans' people. No one should care what someone else does in their bedroom, but don't tell me I have to recognize and treat it as normal. YMMV

Edit: fixed "opposite" to "same" above

the funny thing about Christian schools is that there are almost certainly members of the community who would volunteer to be unpaid guards, offer construction services for free or discount, and donate materials. A lot of small business would probably be happy to donate to the school for a tax write off and a little plaque on the wall.
I knew several admin/teachers in private school that carried every day.

i always found it funny that a couple of what sometimes used to be referred to as "cake boys" were fighting over forcing a guy to bake a cake for them.

Kyle Shideler: Excuse-Making for, and Even Justifications for, Trans Extremist Violence Will, of Course, Lead to More Trans-Extremist Violence

They know that, of course.

They're counting on it.

Minnesota's Lt. Governor just wore a shirt with the image of a combat knife above the legend "Protect Trans Kids."

NASHVILLE – A court filing made by The Covenant School’s legal team on Monday seeks to intervene in ongoing lawsuits that demand the public release of shooter Audrey Hale‘s writings.

The National Police Association (NPA) and Tennessee Firearms Association (TFA) have separately filed suits against the city with the same objective.

Nashville will always claim we need more gun laws. It has pretty much fell into the dark side. Lot of thanks to the so called country music Hollywood a$$holes.
