Hmm, either Glock knew it could be done but realized it wasn't reliable, or they knew it could be done and didn't want to cannibalize G19 sales.
Just occurred to me...
If they can fit 15 in the 43x/48 how many can they get in a regular 43..?
If it can be made to hold 9-10rds in the existing grip, I don't need anything else...
So after some research I learned that the original g43 mags were looked at and because of their width this could not be done. The 43x and 48 mags and frames are a little bit wider than original 43 which is why you can’t use a new 10round mag in the old G43. That difference in width is also how this company was able to stagger stack 15 into their all metal magazine in a fashion very similar to the P365. Glock OEM mags are polymer over steel which adds to the thickness of the walls of the mag. These guys are using all steel making the walls thinner and giving theirs more available space internally. Very interesting indeed. I have high hopes for these mags and will definitely picking up several to try out myself.
I assumed that. But the same concept is sound with the 43 mag. Thinner wall equals bigger stagger. Probably could fit at least a couple more rounds. Don't know if it's worth it but it's worth exploring. If not, and these are reliable, I'll look into a 48 or X.
I hate Sig! I hate their company! I hate their arrogance! I hate their marketing! And I really hate their extremely overpriced and antiquated guns! This is what I know...Jeppo's 365 grip is ever so smaller than My 43 And holds more ammo. I don't like that.
Even if this doesn’t work out I am hoping Taran Tactial does mag extensions for it like they did for the regular 43. I am particularly interested in them doing a +1 as it added no length at all to the 43 mag.
I found that to be almost mystical. It's like Sig defied space and time, although I still prefer a G43.This is what I know...Jeppo's 365 grip is ever so smaller than My 43 And holds more ammo. I don't like that.
Overwatch Precision is the way to go. They have different types.I am fine with the 10 Rd magazines but I can say after a Millie style shooting session today that a new smooth aluminum trigger is in order. I now have a bleeding Glock knuckle on the pad of my trigger finger.

This is the first I've seen of a release date. ...... I'm hoping they are!!! 15+1 in a 43x would be awesome. Hell, 12-13 +1 on that platform would work for me.I’ve seen those, but I’m very skeptical that they’ll be reliable enough to carry.

It wouldn’t work, the mags are not the same dimensions as the original 43.Has anybody tired the 43 TTI mag based on the 43x/48?

I seen people shave down a g19 mag with a belt sander to fit the g48 for 15 rounds. It works but I wouldn't trust my life to it.
Because they are in Commiefornia they can't even make them? Wow..So I reached out to Taran Tactical and finally heard back from them on this. Looks like no dice....
Hello Derek,
Thank you for contacting us! I do apologize for the delayed response. We had some technical errors within our email system, and we have just been able to retrieve all lost emails. I am extremely sorry for the inconvenience of this situation.
Since Glock 43X and 48 firearms have 10 round magazines, we are currently at a loss. Since we are located in California we are unable to manufacture product that adds capacity to 10 round magazines. We hope to find a solution to launch 43X/48 compatible product down the road.
Respectfully,
Sam
Yup, that state blowsBecause they are in Commiefornia they can't even make them? Wow..
Link?
This might just be the key as to why they are 10ers. They want that Cali market. Like Ruger with the 4 and a smidge barrels for Canada. Maybe after the release and the Cali orders are going Glock will release their own 15ers.Because they are in Commiefornia they can't even make them? Wow..
Yeah this has me seriously considering dumping the 19 and 43 for a 48.
I had a 19, which got adopted by a family member, have the 48 and 43 (even had a Sig P365) and to me nothing replaces the 43 for me.I'll not be getting rid of mine. The little grip on the 43 is just too easy to conceal and it's still very shootable. The 19 however may be pretty much eliminated from the rotation...

And if you have a 43 and 48 you have a 43x if you swap slides
