Geezer...... Ahh, no worries. Honest it has caught me a bit with my britches down however. Such as this thin rim brass with the 50 B&M Semi gun. I can't remember loading that brass back in 2014, and would have thought I had tested that at some point...... but....... obviously did not. You guys will just have to shoot it up and go from there. In the meantime I am now going to have to cut and trim some RUM brass to get that going. I really have not messed with that thing in some years now. It never was at the top of my priority list. I never took the Semi very serious.
The 500 MDMs and 50 B&M that you will have there have been all over the world, have shot elephants, multiple buffalo, even bears......But sending ugly ammo too..... LOL.... will just have to over look the ugly ammo, believe me, ammo like that would never be going on a hunting trip! Nor would I even show it to anyone. Hence sending some proper samples for "Show Off".......... LOL.......... Of course the 50 B&M you can shoot in Billy's gun as well.
I told RS yesterday to tell everyone they better not send loaded ammo back, all I want to see is EMPTY BRASS..................and in the case of 500 MDM and 510 Wells, that will be nicely formed proper brass for future use.
A little funny story about the 510 Wells................
Many years ago a good friend here brought a fellow over and introduced him. Good ole Horry County fellow, but would get on your nerves with unexpected visits later on, after the intro. Well, along the way, this fellow brought his brother over and introduced him. Talk about an Horry County Redneck, the brother would be in the Webster's next to the definition of "REDNECK"........ OK very good. Until the Brother started dropping by, and he was loud and obnoxious to say the least. This was getting old. Brother fancied himself a real shooter, a real heavy hitter! So late one Friday afternoon he pitched up with one of his Redneck buddies! Came bouncing in no shirt on, being rather obnoxious and loud to boot! Now I was actually still working, and I was a bit aggravated with this unexpected, uninvited visit. But be that as it may, I greeted them.
Well brother come busting in, "I want to shoot the biggest gun you got"............. Took me a second, but I walked in and snatched up the 510 Wells, I had some 600 gr Woodleighs loaded at 2400 fps, so I took one out the box. "Oh no, I want to shoot more than one". OK, this was getting better to me, so I grabbed two more, for a total of 3 rounds. Off we go. This was before the indoor range, so I have a 50 yard bench outside the door of the garage. I started to get some other things together, and asked him how he wanted to shoot it? "Like you do, from the bench". OK, I started to get some earmuffs, "Oh No, I don't want any ear muffs, I want to hear everything and feel everything"....... Oh, now this was getting good to me! OK so I asked "Do you want a "SISSY PAD" to shoot with?" HEH... I added that "SISSY PAD" for a reason! Well of course Mr. Macho refuses the Sissy Pad, under no circumstances was he going to have any of that!
OK, now I was starting to enjoy this! Here is our boy, No Shirt, No Ear Muffs, No Sissy Pad and going to shoot off the bench! Oh Boy, this is going to be good to me!
So our Redneck boy sits down at the bench with the 510 Wells. I offer no coaching at all as to how to handle a big bore rifle. I put my ear muffs on, and of course I had already pinned him a target at 50 yards. He crawls into the rifle and turns one of those big 600 gr Woodleighs loose. He goes the other direction, and falls off backwards off the bench! He does not drop the rifle, but he gets up off the ground crying the blues and rubbing his shoulder! He staggers around a bit, a few choice words, and carries on a few minutes. I drag Round #2 out of my pocket and start to hand it to him! He is saying NO NO NO, I am saying YES YES YES, you had me bring extra ammo, now man up and jump on it! He tried to get his buddy to shoot it, but the buddy refused. He was shamed into shooting Round #2.
Oh my God, talk about a FLINCH. Round #1 went dead center of the target! Could not ask for better. But Round #2 hit 20 yards in front of the target, in the dirt! LOL............... He manages to stay on the bench this time, but he is hurting now. Shoulder is blood red, some tears coming out and running down his cheek. He walks around a few minutes, more choice words, I am grinning ear to ear now! His buddy is just plain laughing at his dumb ass!
About that time I drag ROUND #3 out and start walking towards him with it holding it out for him! I swear, I think he is going to run! After some coaxing and shaming him, he finally takes it, shoots round #3 20-25 yards in the dirt in front of the target, puts rifle on the bench, and heads for his truck. As he is leaving I told him "Now every time you come over, I will have some more of these loaded for you to shoot".................... I have never seen him again, never heard of him or from him ever. That has been years ago........ HEH HEH.....................3 Rounds rid me of a lot of aggravation, well worth the price.
I may have told this story already? If so you just have to bear with me...........
So these little 535s at 2360 are not so bad. I can always load some more 600s at 2400 if you want? HEH HEH................
