.380 ACP defense ammo?

My concern is alot of ball stuff is im worried I'll get one with a hard primer.

With quality brass ammo, thats a lower concern for me than the round itself not performing or penetrating far enough to be effective. The 380 is a great round, but its a trade off where penetration becomes the greatest concern in bullet choice…to me at least.

You can choose penetration or expansion and get either one.. But if you want both, that's the tricky part with ammo selection.

Not sure I'd trust any of my 380 pistols (except maybe the G42 or S&W Shield EZ) with anything but ball. I'm OK with that for these little face guns.

My little KelTec has eaten anything I've fed it so far (ball and various hollow points)

And he always starts with some clothing layers to be more real world.

Real world would be to dump the mag into the gel then beat the gel with the little 380 frame and scream at the gel whilst doing it.

Well, if we're being real world, most of the mag dump (if not all) misses the target.
