1983 K5 blazer. 305. Put a new fuel pump (stock mechanical) on and now the threaded fitting between the fuel pump and the feed line to the carb is leaking. I fully believe the old pump to be original. The fitting is leaking. It’s flared and threaded. I am under the belief if it’s flared, there is no oring. I’ve heard the opposite as well from two others. What’s correct? I’ve snugged it down and it still leaks. I have no desire to source a new line from the pump to carb.
Any suggestions? Is there a fuel rated thread sealing tape?
