Fourth episode is up on huluWe just started watching it this weekend, and binged on all 3 episodes. I never read the book, nor did my wife, but we LOVE the show...
4 was a little slow. I makes me think that the woman is going to have a bigger role than in the book to dedicate the whole episode to her back story.Oh, it gets even weirder in Episodes 2 and 3. 4 was a little slow for me.
They left out the king of the Dwarves.Good show. Hope they make it good as the book. Looks promising so far.
Same here, hadn't read the book. Felt the same way about the first episode and figured I'd drop it. @bigfelipe has read the book and told me a little about it, so I decided to stick with it a bit longer.I started watching the show....I didn't know anything about it. The first episode left me scratching my head a little due to that fact. I haven't decided if I'm going to watch the rest yet.
Not Nordic gods in particular, but generally the 'old gods', i.e., the various gods that the different cultures have worshipped in the past, who are growing weaker as the people have abandoned and forgotten them and turned to the 'new gods' of television and technology. It watches like that main character who just got out of prison is a pawn in some fort of game of thrones being played out by Nordic gods or something but is too blind to see what Hell he is getting himself involved in. It is also apparent that the gods are diminished and need to be worshipped to regain power (a la the sex scene). Not sure where this is going but it's going to be an interesting ride.
" hey dead wife..."You gotta admit the leprecaun is cool.
Yep, Good book too.Is this off of the book by Neil Gaiman?
