To all NFL Players that feel it necessary to protest during the playing of the National Anthem.
Really? Do you think that’s a proper venue?? A football game where I’m free to change the channel, or get up and walk out?? And if I do either it takes away the money that supports the game. Do you have a clue where your multi million-dollar salary comes from?? When any player falls from grace with the public do you not understand that the products you endorse also take a hit and will eventually go away and give endorsements to less controversial players?? Obviously you can’t think that far into the future.
You have the right to protest anything you desire, it’s guaranteed within the Constitution but picking the time when our National Anthem is being played isn’t the correct time. Is that the only time when you can be assured of camera time?? Can’t you get any airtime by yourself?? News stations won’t cover your personal demonstrations one on one because no one really cares, can’t you see that?? Obviously not.
If I were an owner I would need to remind you of a couple of things. The workplace isn’t the time or place for your personal expressions. When you put on my uniform and stand on my side of the field, that is the office and whatever you do reflects on me as well as the rest of the team that may, or may not share your views. How long do you think you would be employed in the private sector displaying that attitude and actions?? Not long.
You claim to hold yourself as a role model, look closely in the mirror. Disrespecting the American Flag and the Anthem and all veterans that suffered and died for it represents the utmost disrespect that a human can show. Would you like your children to behave in the same manner?? I would like to think not, I know I wouldn’t.
In closing, you have taken a pleasant pastime and turned it into your personal platform. Do you really think you’re that special?? Do you really think people tuned in to see you disrespect the objects of this country?? Think again…….
