There IS a balance. Instead of "prepping" it's more of homesteading for us. A change in lifestyle that allows us to be less concerned with what goes on in the densely populated areas. And providing us with the place, a sanctuary for family to come, just it case it gets crazy.

If I had to guess, he could have reached a "Bingo Cash" situation and decided he better stop. I would imagine he has sold it already but this is just conjecture on my part.

The whole prepping thing was a hobby of mine for a while but I don't spend too much time with it anymore. That said, I am almost always reasonably prepared now. Not for anything specific, but with food, water, defense - I learned a lot and I think it was good knowledge to have. If I had more time and money there are probably some things about it I would get back into. It is not cheap.

I did it all in one burst. Water filtering system( fixed,and portable ), food for a month or two, 3 ways to have electrical power, and a wood stove. Keeping all that won't be a problem either.
