I took the class, today, focused on drawing from concealment using the same guns/holsters that we carry every day. There was a good assortment of pistols, both medium and small sized. Guys got to put their daily carry rigs through a work-out, which helps to highlight any shortcomings in our gear. This is where you find out whether your holster draws smoothly, whether your mag carrier is in the best position, etc..
We worked on the basics, and ran various drills with both hands, right hand only, and left hand only. We shot at distances from 1 yard to 15 yards at paper targets, cardboard and steel silhouettes. Most drills were run as a group. But, Ryan and Bush also took time to work with each student one-on-one giving specific guidance when needed.
We shot several hundred rounds, did multiple reloads, and had an excellent day! As always, I really enjoyed spending the day with a great group of people.
Thanks again to Ryan and Bush!
