in that case, of your logo is also your manufacturer ID, that could be a problem. receivers are required to have manufacturer, point of origin, caliber, and serial all marked, with letters being a certain height and depth into the receiver. (very shallow depth though)
I guess if you start wiping out any of those identifiers, you could possibly be considered to be obscuring the identifying marks...
If it's just color that's in there and you want it out, see about using progressively nastier chemicals to remove them. I wouldn't go using acetone/nail polish remover on polymers...
