Article: Are your bumper stickers giving away too much information about you? Know your audience.

I know a WS fireman that was pulled by NCHP….best I remember, he told me he was running 85 in a 65.

He dropped the, “I work for Winston Fire”. Said the Trooper told him, “Really? Then your ass should know better, considering some of the stuff you’ve seen on the highway….here’s your ticket.”

Yes, people today do not realize how much they really advertise their personal information. I was pointing this out to a friend of mine not to long ago. His wife has the typical stick figure family sticker on the window, a bumper sticker of a local high school athletics team, and a bumber sticker that shows support for a local business. So I told him one day I said "so put yourself in the shoes of a criminal, I know how many people are in your immediate family, I know what school at least one of your kids goes to, and I know a business that patronize. It's bad enough your license plate tells everything there is to know about you. Oh yea, and if you have pro 2A stickers on your vehicle? you just told someone you have things of value in your home so they can case and target your house.

Yep, I have seen this go both ways. I've seen people get the ticket because they should have known better, and I've seen them get out of the ticket because they are in the Brotherhood.

You rolls your dice, you takes your chances.

my only bumper sticker says no airbags die like real men, on a camo painted 88 ranger. Pretty sure everything to give away is already done on that one.
