Starting today you'll see a couple changes in the BST area.

1. Only the Original Poster (OP) is allowed to post replies to an ad.
2. 24hr bump rule is enforced automatically.
3. Price is required. If your ad includes specific trades, you can leave the price at $0

We'll get the actual 'rules' posts updated shortly, but these changes are enforced by the software so they're already in place.

If you want to get in touch with a seller, use the "Start Conversation" function at the bottom of the OPs ad.

I understand the driver behind this, so "message received". Is there a way that it can be turned off for the Free Stuff section? Nobody is complaining about price in there, so I think the feedback/questions are generally more helpful there than in the other sections.

If it is all or nothing, then I'll try to make my free ads more detailed.

I’m gonna guess it’s possible, but won’t happen.

Main reason is consistence.

Also, I don’t use the “new posts” tool, but I’d assume those that do don’t want to see replies to a Free Stuff ad keep popping up.

Classified section in general. There’s a supporting member classified also. These rules apply to that section also

Nah. You’re good. We’ve all had posts deleted. Getting your hand slapped is when you get a warning. You haven’t gotten one yet. Next is getting spanked. That’s where you get a short vacation.

I've been here so long and done it so often that I graduated from their hand slapping to their butt taser.

Only problem is I kinda like it.

Looks like the Hot Deals and WTB are unaffected by the change.

Well, if gremlins would step outside the bst and read other posts sometimes...you know, posts like this one...or even the rules themselves...
