bucket list guns

I have a couple...
The one that I want for competition purposes is a Arrowhead Muzzleloader. Their packages start at 5k. I've seen some of their competition rigs go up to 12k.
I doubt I'll ever be in a position that I can purchase one.
So I'll give my other answer because I could one day afford it. A original Gibbs target rifle. Preferably in 40 caliber. Its the perfect rifle for long range muzzle loading. Were talking 1 inch groups at a 1,000 yards. The Davide Pedersoli clone is really nice and sell for around 1600 originals are around 3 -4. I currently borrow the one I'm using. But I'd like to get my own. If I win gold at the world championship this year I'm buying one.

This question comes up from time to time, and I am sure my list changes constantly. But what comes to mind are:

1. A brown bess musket: Always wanted one since I was a kid watching war movies. I have no use for one, but as a history lover and a military lover, id like to have one in the collection.

2. Quigley Rifle: Love the movie, loved everything about it, and loved the rifle. Again, I have no practical use for it at all, but love how it looks and the sytling of the metal and wood.

3. M1 Carbine: Would love to have an era correct example. Had an opportunity years ago when working at Roses, but the money was just too much.

I have a Marlin 444S and a Winchester 9422. They're the last two guns I'd ever sell. Would like to pick up a few more lever-actions... you know... just to see if I might like them more. ;) My bucket list includes a Marlin 39, Marlin 336 (.30-30 & 35 Rem) and a Winchester 9422M (.22 mag).

My bucket list might as well be a bottomless well, lol. Next up a super nice M1 Garand (all original presentation grade) and a equally as premium 1903 Spingfield.

Although coming back to earth a little/lot having filled most of my "tactical" needs I love oddities. While it can be had for relatively cheap I want but still haven't brought myself to just light $200 on fire and buy a Taurus Curve, lol

ugh; comp won't let me zoom in on the pic to get a clear shot of the mags. PSL or SVD/Tigr? Congrats.

No congrats necessary, it's still a dream. PSL or SVD, either ( or both ) would scratch my itch.

.

Some variation of a Sharp's 45-70. I don't know enough about them to specify yet.
There's a picture of me as a child. I'm wearing a cowboy hat, twin six guns and carrying a Sharp's carbine. So, for me, it's like closing the circle.

I can definitely appreciate this. I love history and also fiction (if somewhat historically based) and have a desire for a Quigley

Other stuff, I'd love to have a FA MP18, but that'll never happen:

There's plenty more, for sure, but honestly I'm lucky to own a few things I never thought I'd have already. Nothing particularly impressive, but things that are very interesting to me.

You thought they were to much then. You should see what an all correct premium grade goes for these days.

You guys are bad though reminding how much I want a Quigley (Sharps). I also would love to get a liberator pistol but man they are expensive for some cheep sheet metal that shoots itself to pieces if you fire it too much

Yup! Thats part of the problem, getting one for a decent price knowing that its really just a collectors item for me and I'd mainly use it to teach youngins about history and stuff. But, still want. One day when the lottery is hit, Ill grab one and not care about spending too much!

Preach. Its also funny how guns come and go off the radar. We currently have a Lee-Enfield cutaway trainer at the shop. I've never really cared about 303 British or Lee-Enfield's (if anything way...way down the list) but for some reason I want this one. $500 bills though for a non functioning cutaway gun to just hang on the wall unfortunately isn't anywhere in the realm of sanity till I hit that lottery money. Happy collecting to us all. Cheers

Classy choices.

I'd like a major Open gun.
Limcat, SVI, or Akai. I'll decide which when my numbers hit. There's got to be at least two other dorks here that even know what that means?

Here's my problem. Every time I think the gun purchase part of my bucket list is complete...there's another. Barrett M82A1, 1950's Winchester 12 and S&W 66. None of them did the trick long term.

I echo that. a Black Remington Nylon 66 is what my father learned to shoot with and I would love to have one. I have always wanted a true, honest to god Safari gun. It is a shame that CZ discontinued the 550 line.

A Smith & Wesson 500 magnum paired with a big horn armory lever gun would be amazing.

This one is impossible, but the gun my grandfathers and great uncles used in WWII. The stories those M1s could tell.

I would love my issued service rifle. But there's probably a few dozen others who got it issued before them.
