Death threats? I always liked the idea of sending a picture of a wheel chair with a note saying, “this can be yours.” I suppose including a colostomy bag would drive home the point.

Seriously, if our forefathers were to have constrained themselves to peaceful
protests and voting, as some would want today, we’d still be a British colony. When reason fails, there is only one option. The tyrants need to know that it’s not off the table.

My kids would do what I may not be able to. Think about that Mr Garvey. How's that working out in Iraq, Syria, and the rest of the places where we've kicked in doors, taken guns, and shot fathers and mothers?

One major difference is that he didn't name a specific individual but a generic reference to gun owners, vs. specifically threatening to kill a specific individual.

The point of the 2nd is to safeguard the republic against people like the wannabe sheriff. The application of the 2nd is to use the arms to remove the tyrants.

The threats against him, personally, are right there in the constitution.

There's a certain irony in that statement now.

Liberals don't seem to grasp the meaning behind some of the statements. They fail to understand that this means fighting to the death in resistance, including taking action to stop it, not laying down and dying. That Don't Tread on Me is a threat, not a plea.

BINGO!!! Me thinks the candidate for Sheriff has just communicated a threat. I remember how Ronald Reagan was excoriated by the media by his "We begin bombing immediately" joke about instituting WWIII against the Soviet Union while he was doing a private sound check. Or how about President Obama "joking" about IRS audits...
