I had to do that on this:

It’s now a stainless phillips head screw. It used to be an allen head stainless screw.

For some reason, it was frozen solid from the factory.

Very delicate operation on a much smaller scale but all turned out well. It definitely is a beautiful sight to behold when you’re successful getting it out.😎

Nope, intentional design feature. They needed the extra length from one side for the cross brace.

But to tell you the truth, I don’t trust Crescent wrenches to do what they were designed to do, much less anything else.

I was taught to weld exhaust back together in auto body in high school. The coated ones did work the best!

I found it would just ball up and not stick, but this was at 2 am and trying to weld a split in a steel line on the pan of a cat 631 belly scraper
