CFF Growth Rate

I’m pretty sure this latest is armslist haters. Though the Facebook page has had a surge in “likes” recently also.
 
Yes, we got about 100 new members (at last I checked) when Armlist starting charging. We hit 4,000 in April and we are at 4700 now. I say “we” like I am an owner, but I mean “we” collectively. Should be at 5,000 by the end of the year, if not earlier, at the rate new members are joining. We started off with about 200 members. Hit 1,000 about a year later. Then it was slow going until about 3,000 then starting picking back up.

Glad you asked, I was wondering what was going on too. They've been funneling it hard the past 2 weeks. With the election coming up I was wondering if they were trolls etc looking to do harm.
 
I’m one of those new members... I love this site and forum. I literally look forward to seeing the topics and discussion, not to mention the ridiculous deals on firearms and the like :)), everyday. With me being 18 and my only option for purchasing handguns coming from other private owners, this site is JUST what I was looking for and more and have almost stopped looking at other sites for gun deals. The transparency and genuine people on this forum isn’t easily replaceable.

Curious if your sheriff will issue a purchase permit to 18-20 year olds?
 
So, ladies and gentlemen, we have a decision: we are standard-bearers, and should welcome new people and educate them on responsible and legal gun ownership. I know some of our instincts is to pile on stupid posts regardless of post count, but now is the time to welcome and encourage. There will be time a'plenty later to crush their souls.

In fact, that’s the only way am 18-20 yr old may obtain and handgun other than via someone’s Will I believe. However, open carry is required (as one can’t obtain N.C. CWP until 21 yrs of age. But that’s alright, I prefer open carry anyhow if I’m being truthful.

Oh, I don't question the legality of it at all! I know it's legal. What's in question is if YOUR sheriff will actually issue the permit. As I understand it, some won't.

Yes he does, I submitted one a month or two ago and another just yesterday to hopefully make a purchase on this forum.

The one the other month was accepted and used by the way, just wanted to clarify the confusion lol.

hooo boy. looks like we recently had #3, #4, #5, and #6 ever. with #1 and #2 being the first 2 months the site began operations. That's an interesting stat.
I assume you haven't calculated tomorrow's numbers in yet, but I don't think october's numbers will beat jan-2017

I can't handle it no more.

I park way out in the parking lot and three other cars park next to me.
I'm fishing in the ocean and four boats pull up and drop anchor.
I'm about to buy the last pack of Trident Spearment Gum, and a lady comes up and snatches it out in front of me.

Quite a few of the new members reference a current member recommending them to join. I'm sure interest is due to the current climate but nice to have it recommended more it seems.
 
New people coming in for advise? First time buyers? Would be my guess.

Because you "need" a PPP to legally purchase a pistol from a private party.

Because in NC you can buy a handgun through private party sales at 18. The law allows for 18 year olds to be able to get a PPP from the Sheriff.
 
We’re around two dozen away from 5k.

I'm new here. I must admit I joined up to find a gun after election shenanigans started. (Worked like a champ)

I had been thinking about getting a carbine that uses the same magazines as my 1911 for years. That was enough to nudge me to act.

I stumbled onto the forum looking at guns for sale in NC.

But I'm glad I did. You guys (and ladies) are great.
