CFF Growth Rate

I just hope that we haven't sacrificed quality for quantity. Though I think (hope) that will probably work itself out.

I don’t think we have. It’s extremely fair to say that we are not scared to drop below 5k at anytime.
 
We have gained a few good members and the others will move along once they find out we are not what they were looking for.
 
Folks we a 8 new members away from hitting the 5000 mark. Hard to believe how far this forum has come in a short amount of time. Thanks to the owners for giving us a place to discuss what we love and thanks to all the mods for doing what you do.

I agree.................And I feel that it speaks volumes for an internet site location that people are putting their trust in during these uncertain times. All the more reasons for us to be vigilant, stay focused on posting the right content that is truly representative of our core beliefs, and lastly we must sometimes make decisions to "prune the vine" when unfavorable growth appears that will harm our firearms community .

Keep your head on a swivel people and remain focused on staying together as we move into uncharted waters.

Oh I think it is still growing. The top page of new posts threads usually has half a dozen Welcome threads or more.

I wonder if a staff member could update us on the total and average monthly growth.

It was a joke, 2F. Recently someone was mad and said something about "and that's why this site isnt growing" (not verbatim) and many were quick to point out how he himself had just joined.

Though, yes, it'd be really interesting to see a graph of new users per month over the past 49 (?) months.
Just to see how it's all went since the start. Im assuming it started high, probably trailed off, then, started a steady incline till recently when we saw a spike with ArmsList changing course.
Just a guess.

Edit - this was initially meant as a joke since I talk to much, but looking at the numbers you actually post an average of about 1.5x more per month than I do. You talk too much :)

i see a handful of people on the NCguns subreddit asking for a local forum or place to list a gun. me and everyone else always points to cff
