Well, I'm done trying for the month. Looks like my best will be -11.
The best was from July 11th with the Vudoo and the Athlon Cronus scope with bipod and rear bag (same setup as the pic in last months file). I didn't break Par (0) with the CCI SV that day shooting a +4 and +6, as it wasn't doing well that day.
I swapped out scopes last week with a Vortex Golden Eagle as I have really been doing more target shooting that tactical shooting. It has taken some getting used to, but I like it. I tried out more ammo with this setup last weekend and today, but I couldn't top the Rifle Match target that I started with. Besides CCI (which I have a ton of), I tried a couple boxes of various stuff from Grafs a month or two ago, and shot up the last box I had of several of those. I shot CCI SV and scored a -2 and a -6. I shot the last box I had of SK Flat Nose Basic and it did well at -6 and -7. Didn't have any fliers or bone head shots, but just had too many 0's. I also shot the last box I had of SK Pistol Match today, and shot a -9 and -3. I had a couple of terrible shots on the -3 paper that were all me, and missed the green on both. Otherwise it was a good target, and could have easily been -9 as well. I didn't try out my last box of Rifle Match, as I figured I would save it.
Of all the ammo I tried out of that batch of different ammo, my rifle definitely likes Rifle Match the best (besides the one box of CenterX I tried which was even tighter). Pistol Match has not been as consistent. Flat Nose did really well, but just not quite as good as Rifle Match, and Rifle Match is cheaper. CCI SV has done much better than STD +, but the bolt sticks a lot loading it, which is aggravating.
I also pulled out one of the CZ 452's, but with much lower magnification and shooting STD+, I only managed +11 shooting with only my range bag as a rest. I need to put a bipod on it or get a front rest of some sort to have a chance with it.
Attached is a post of the new setup, even though the Athlon was installed for my best sheet.
