Dad wants a lever action

Bless yo Soul!! Dad will be Proud to own this fine lever gun.
Always try for The yardstick the others are trying to measure up to.

Heeey Thank you Billy. Honestly, I remembered your comment earlier about the yardstick and it struck a cord i guess. I'm pumped to see his face when he opens it. You guys are the best!

1892 is a good choice. My BIL has one. Nice fit and finish.

The fit and finish of this one seems great to me. Ill admit im not an expert on lever actions but it feels tight and the action is smooth and easy to manipulate out of the box so as long as it feeds and cycles properly, im a happy camper!

Searched and finally found this post...and have a question.

I don’t see any mention of Henry in the description. And when I look up Henry parts on their site, I don’t see a similar part.

does the Marlin part fit the Henry?
For anybody that cares...I emailed Ranger Point Store late yesterday and got a reply a little while ago.

Hi Greg - Thanks for your email. The Marlin’s and Henry’s do not use the same parts. At this time we only make a loading gate for Marlin rifles. We have discussed R&D efforts for Henry’s next year.

You will not regret buying the 92, I like the 73 because they do not have the tang safety. John Wayne's favorite rifle the 1892 Winchester.

He does love it! Only question I have is I assumed that the 357 would fire 38s but it says on the barrel 357 only.... what's that about? Do 38s not work in it? We haven't taken it out yet, but we have way more 38s than 357s at the moment so I'd appreciate anyone helping me out if they know the answer. Thanks in advance.
