DPRC 2-Gun Rimfire (Great match for beginners)

It appears that the cff crews got some dang good women behind us!
Mine were smart too, they all took off.

I'm not going to be able to make the next one but I'm aiming for the one after that. Now I need to put together a non-meme 22lr rifle lol

Weird question, if my stamp ever comes back can I use my SBR set up like a PDW as my rifle?

I don't see why not, so long as it isn't suppressed just because it can be tough for the timer to pick it up.

Is there much distance between the stages?

Wondering what I should come up with to tote my junk around from stage to stage.

I think I got a cart you can borrow so I wouldn't worry about it. Just make sure to remind me. I'll PM you my phone number.

Will an email go out if this gets canceled due to weather?

Y'all have fun today. I'm going to have to back out. My daughter apparently brought home a bug from school that has been tearing me up since the middle of the night. I'll definitely be at another one.

The only thing more fun than shooting a suppressed 22 sbr is shooting any 22 at steel lol
That's the plan (well no suppressor for a bit)! Rep Manning's office has been really on the ball about finding out what's going on, apparently the ATF are blaming the FBI for not returning my background check yet.

Definitely something going around. I’m still on the mend, and my daughter sounds like the Mucinex monster.

Yeah. She had 5 kids out of her class on Friday. I should have seen this coming from a mile away.

Here's the signup link if anyone is interested. Match is October 14th. You must register by creating a Practiscore account but it is easy and doesn't cost anything.

@C-doodle, despite having only shot one full match the month prior. In the rain…

Placed 9th at the match today. A top 10 finish at DPRC is something to be proud of. Especially for having done so few matches.

The holiday themed stage from last Saturday’s match.

The wrapped package was the start position. We did not have reindeer and Santa shaped plates so buffalo and cowboy plates had to suffice. The Santa hat got shot a couple of times and the sign took two rounds. 😆

Which is why one should always buy their match props on clearance.

It gets better every month. Today was great example of the dedication and imagination of the folks who run this match. Different challenges and targets as well as new folks to meet and swap lies with. See you next month, bring a friend.

Are these once a month? I might have to come out of my shell and show up to one.

Besides my time/gas/ammo, any cost to shoot the match?

If you don’t have equipment and stuff don’t let that stop you. Guarantee we have plenty that you can borrow. Just let us know by sending a PM and we will make sure we bring everything.

It is very laid back. We don’t take this stuff too seriously and the main goal is to have a good time.

I have a 10/22 and a MkII 5.5" heavy barrel. Could use a few more magazines.

Ideally you would have five magazines for each gun. We got you covered on 10/22 magazines but maybe not on the Mark II.

However we can have folks loading the magazines for you if need be.

So last match we had falling steel. This is something new for our event.

There were 15 total pieces of steel. The shooters started by loading up the rifle and pistol with 10 rounds each for a total of 20. That gave them an extra 5 rounds to get the job done.

At the sound of the timer “beep” the shooter would shoot the first gun until it was empty. Then they would lay it down on the table and pick up the other gun to finish the stage. The Texas Star made it really fun. Here is what the stage looked like.

The ram and the bobcat were fixed plates. We don’t have quite enough of the falling steel to do the whole stage but we will work on that.

Everyone I spoke to really liked it so we are hoping to incorporate this type of stage every once in a while.
