no good deedI have only sold to two people. Both times Federal .22 in a 550 box for $40. This was in January. I heard back that both people complained about me charging too much.
Never again.
This is what I normally shoot. Still find it occasionally at Walmart for $1/round.This is really helpful! Holy crap though $4/rd for some win deer season?
I gave a box to a friend the last time I was at your house because he needed some. And I would give you 550 Free if you needed it because I am certain there would come a time you would return the favor if needed.
So true. No agent would let someone sell a house for no profit, at least around here...Just exchange āmy houseā with āmy ammoā and ask yourself so you still feel bad about charging more. No one expects someone to sell their house for what they paid for it out of the goodness of their hearts. You sell it for what the market is demanding.

So are you a horder if you have 30,000 rounds of 380,9,40,45,223,30-06,270,243,30-30................................ that you re loaded?
No, it makes you a hoarder. And you need to shoot moreSo are you a horder if you have 30,000 rounds of 380,9,40,45,223,30-06,270,243,30-30................................ that you re loaded?
And that's where it gets tough... if someone comes to buy something and you end up talking for a good while, you often become friends...I have a rule - I do not make money or profit from friends. If I sell something - I do so for whatever price I paid for it or even slightly less. I will let somebody even get a better deal - all so I can sleep with a clear head.
I believe what comes around goes around.
That's a good rule. Friends and money don't mix well.I have a rule - I do not make money or profit from friends. If I sell something - I do so for whatever price I paid for it or even slightly less. I will let somebody even get a better deal - all so I can sleep with a clear head.

Shipping will get you because you need a hazmat label and required adult signature.
"Hazmat" was the wrong term. Sorry. Whatever that black and white diamond shape thing is.This is incorrect. All you need is an ORM-D label and to send it either UPS or FEDEX ground. No signature required. Loaded cartridges are not hazmat items. Primers and powder are.
If it ever became a middle-east type of situation here, then the term gouging might apply, like Shkreli with the daraprim or something..
At a guess, I would say many ammo companies are either not making the less popular calibers, or not importing the less popular calibers.Tempting to sell some of mine at that price! I wonder why the .270 is THAT much more than .223. I wouldn't think that the demand is greater, especially this time of year.
FWIW...and I just learned this in the last month or so...This is incorrect. All you need is an ORM-D label and to send it either UPS or FEDEX ground. No signature required. Loaded cartridges are not hazmat items. Primers and powder are.
Iām not say they donāt do that...but their policy doesnāt seem to indicate thatās required? He should have this printed out next time he goes. šBut my friend said he goes straight to the UPS hub and they require him to require an "adult signature", which costs another 7 or 8 bucks.
Print, clip and tape...FWIW...and I just learned this in the last month or so...
The ORM-D label was retired at the end of 2020. Now itās just the black & white diamond decal/label.
Why the surprised look .You probably have twice that amount
Iām curious where the ethical murky waters would be in the context of this thread, which is about an individual selling personal property. Honest question.Ethics and capitalism don't always make the best bed partners....
It essentially comes down to the questions of āis ammo a basic life necessityā and āis the current market unduly preventing people from obtaining basic necessities because of greed of a few.ā Personally I think that the second one is not true at current time and I agree with most of what has been said here. I do enjoy the diversity of opinion and enthusiastic participation though, thanks yāall!Iām curious where the ethical murky waters would be in the context of this thread, which is about an individual selling personal property.
