Exodus thread has been deleted

When I search, I can see the original Design Mine post, but the thread is locked and all other posts are gone.

As best I was able to track, it started when one of the vendors mentioned a big price hike for being a sponsor. A valued member linked to an older thread where it was mentioned that there would be no price increases for existing advertisers. Then it came out that some scripts were in place that auto edited the name of this website. Then it was further revealed that some scripts were also being applied to PMs. So basically pricing and censorship.
 
Funny. I sold a desk on Saturday to a charming young Chinese couple who were both born in 1989, the year that the Tiananmen protests occurred. They talked with me openly about how there is little to no trace of the event on the intertoobz in their home country.

Seems like a familiar strategy.

First, we had a trove of Christian paperback books out for sale, and they we're grabbing them by the armful, which I thought was somewhat curious. Turns out CS Lewis is their favorite author, right after Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Paul.

Plus, I not only sold them the Fieldgrade exclusive EXECUTIVE desk, but delivered and assembled it at their house for a small additional fee to get it the heck out of Chez Fieldgrade two days ahead of the movers today.

I had asked in someone's thread why there was such a mass migration to this place from NCGO, that explains it.
Pretty dang terrible they'd do that.
Oh well, screw em.

If you remember, the filter was in place at CSC as well when this site was started up. Far as I know, it's still turned on.

Yes, this is the reason I decided to make the change.. it really sucks because I've been loyal for over seven years and made lots of friends and had lots of get togethers with them.

Just spent a few minutes explaining what happened to another member there, don't know if he'll come over, but they can't stop me from posting the address, line by line. :)

Even the post I made yesterday on deleting the whole thread content & that bad word "censorship" was deleted.
I left them another one this morning. :D
 
Funny, the exodus has triggered a spike in new members at CSC (it's on my Tapatalk), wonder if they know it's just a different pan over the same fire.

The best way to starve that beast is to not feed it. That means avoid giving them any traffic, Crapatalk or otherwise. Even to troll or spam them. It all becomes click statistics generating revenue. The less traffic they get, the fewer mentions, etc, the more they fall in the search engine rankings, the fewer people will find them.

I deleted them from my favorite list. Once that is done you have to type in their address and so forth and it becomes a real PITA. In other words...they gone.

It still is about us. We all just migrated to another room where the parents are not watching. I hope to see a few people that are trying to hold it together over there just drop it and come over here too.
 
Our doors are wide open for all incoming refugees and we have placed additional administrators on standby to review and approve all immigration papers of those joining up with us. :D:D:D
