Favorite Cook Out meal?

Oreo milkshake unstirred.

The rest of their food is saturated in oil or burnt burgers. Not for me

So diabetes is for you?

I mean, c'mon, how are you gonna slam the rest of their food, but slurp diabetes through a straw?

Agreed though on the overcooked burgers. I asked them about cooking it a bit less, but they said it's company policy. If they could back off a little on the overkill-well-done, I'd be hitting that drive thru more often.

Big Double Cheddar Style with extra cheese
Double Onion Rings.

Mint Oreo milkshake cause I'm civilized like that...

Thanks to this thread, I tried this:
Big Double, Onion Rings, Beef Quesadilla, Hershey's Chocolate milkshake.

That is some damn good fast food. I don't understand how a McD's or Burger King can be located within a few miles of a Cook Out and stay in business. For pretty much the same money, Cook Out tastes so much better.

Alright, yall made be go get some, its been over 10 yrs. Cajun chicken, double onion rings and tea was my fix. WHERE THE HELL DID THE FOOD GO? I went to NCSU in the early 2000s and visited the Western blvd location often. Some I can remember some I can't. Back then for $5 you got a large white carton that they had to slam shut, sometimes tape shut. It was packed! You had dinner and enough left over for drunk snack that night when you eventually made it back home. Earlier this week I got the same and though it was one of those miniature food places when I opened it up. Disappointed but glad the onion rings and Cajun chicken sandwich still tasted good. I guess that is just the times. -rant over

BBQ tray, No Sauce, Slaw on the Side, Double fries, and a big ole unsweet tea.
Glad Im not the only one who enjoys unsweet tea there. Sometimes (often) their sweet is too sweet.
Sometimes I'll do a half and half.

I believe that's only available on the burger orders, not the "tray" orders, but I could be wrong.
I got Cheddar style with a tray recently, Im sure western and the others would be the same/available.

I’ll have to agree about how sweet there’s is. I have a rep among friends and family if bringing sweet tea to get-togethers. And I make it pretty dang sweet. To the point you think you might be able to eat it with a spoon after it sits in the fridge for 2-3 days. :D

...but there’s times I can’t handle theirs. Unfortunately I usually make the poor decision of getting Dr P instead of asking for half & half.

For the record:

There is tea and there is sweetened tea. You cannot un-sweeten tea.
Unsweetened = not sweetened...yeah, you can not sweeten tea with sugar.

“Unsweetened” is perfectly acceptable.

“Desweetened” would be incorrect. :D

Finally read more of the menu today to see the different “styles” for the burgers. Had to chuckle. Never really read more than the cookout tray portion before. Had the big double Carolina style.
Mixed up my sides. They fooled me with the chili. Not what I would necessarily eat as stand alone chili. Best served on hot dogs and burgers. And it was in the worlds smallest container. Also the wife and my father in law got onion rings as one of their sides. 3 each. That’s it. Not worth it. I’ll stick with the chicken ranch wraps.
Bonus, was able to get my brother and sister in law visiting from out of town the opportunity to experience cookout. They were not disappointed.
