First trip to Blue Collar Reloading

The place should be condemned as a public nuisance.

I had to go pick up some meds yesterday, with my clutch failing on me.

I said aloud "come on baby, just get me to the pharmacy that's all I ask!"

As we got closer to making it there before she gave up the ghost, I nearly said

"to the pharmacy baby that's all I ask!....unless, I mean, ya know...if you felt like it...maybe, ummm, you think we could drop by Blue Collar on our way back?"

In any event, whether I did or did not ask, she said no.

Checked it out online. Everything I was interested in was sold out.

Ed's is much closer and while not a dedicated reloading store, they typically have a good selection at good prices...

Whatever that last part means these days...
Regarding powder prices...
I have enough Varget for my 2024 year. Should I wait to buy more hoping prices come down? Or buy a couple pounds for insurance.

Wish I had a crystal ball Amigo, I guess the only real way to answer that question is "can I afford it?", "am I comfortable with what I spend to reload per round right now?" and "should shit go sideways and prices go off the scale or it all becomes unobtanium, how hosed am I?"...

The good news is that when everything was unobtanium and prices were through the roof, I had great luck swapping my surplus materiel with other forum members for theirs. Made a lot of new friends and kept my cash in my wallet...

Having extra is not a bad call from that perspective.

Looks like they have something I need in stock, I’m going to have to make the cross state drive to retrieve it.
I'm going into Salisbury for a VA appointment tomorrow morning. If ya need somethin picked up lemme know.
I'm about 15mins SE of there and prolly easier "hours" if ya need to come on a weekend.
On that note my buddy @flhtci06 from Burgaw is gonna be in the area all next week.
So mebbe we could get the CFF Railroad fired up. Just sayin'..

Has the price on Varget ever gone down in the past 5 years? Considering inflation, I don't believe it ever will.

The site is a'posed to be up to date and accurate. But I've always found it best to just go. You can call, too.
If anybody else wants anything picked up while I'm there tomorrow lemme know.
I'm usually around the house on weekends and during the week if I ain't off to the club..

If Blue Collar had Large Rifle Primers, I would drive down (50 min).
And buy more Varget and some Hornady bullets (projectiles) too.
But their web site says "Sold Out" on CCI 200, CCI 250, , CCI BR-2, CCI #34, Win WLR,
even Federal 210LR

Thanks for the pic of the primer stock on the shelf.
I did phone them earlier this morning about Large Rifle primers.
I have Zero. If I could get even 20-100 it would allow me to start working on a new load in .308

I'm usually only down that way on Saturdays. I was just at a match 20 mins away and everyone at the match was lamenting the same thing. He's not open on Saturday.

I believe on the weekends they travel to matches to support them deliver stuff. Maybe we suggest a truck loaded with supplies to drive around from match to match. An adult ice cream truck. 🤷🏼‍♂️😍😂😂

I've done lots of business with Blue Collar over the years, mostly with the previous owners but with the new owners as well. I drive by there every day going to and from work, so the temptation is great. It's been awhile since I've stopped in to look around, and I always buy something, even if it's just a box of jacketed bullets, which I do need to stock up on some bullets for the 10 mm.
