I was interested to read Grits post, because I had wondered whether anyone else had taken a badge number and/or officer's name and conveyed a complaint, in person and/or in writing subsequent to any of these encounters?
I'll concede that I didn't follow up on an annoying stop some years ago that I believed was contrived as a training exercise (and pre-CHP/carry). I honestly don't recall whether I didn't follow through out of ennui or cynicism or failure to write down the badge number and forgot it or ... I will say that I'm glad that my son was in the car with me as otherwise my tongue might have gotten the better of me as I got an "attitude warning" as it was.
