I will have to look into it, thank you. And yeah I was at ENC in Goldsboro and this guy was demanding to see my tax stamp. I asked him if he was with the ATF and he said no but he has to see it. I would really rather have my dollars go elsewhere.I go to H2O Fowl Farms in Dunn, hardly ever anyone there during the week. You actually have people ask to see tax stamps??
Some people….I will have to look into it, thank you. And yeah I was at ENC in Goldsboro and this guy was demanding to see my tax stamp. I asked him if he was with the ATF and he said no but he has to see it. I would really rather have my dollars go elsewhere.
Elmeris fudd an acronym?
sort of like scuba?
Did this guy have any authority to control what goes on at the range? If not, tell him it is none of his business and that he is not in the position to demand anything. If he is someone responsible for enforcing the range rules to keep the club/range from getting into legal trouble, he has every right to ensure that illegal activities do not occur at the range. My club has fairly specific rules about what firearms can be used at which specific parts of the range as well as a rule that no firearms illegally owned may be used at the range. Being a private club owned by the members, each member is well within their authority to help enforce the rules. I have never seen anyone ask to see a tax stamp but assume that the person asked would not have a problem, showing the stamp.I will have to look into it, thank you. Do you run every firearm on every range visit against some sort of stolen weapons database to make sure that no one is illegally using stolen guns? Regardless, the 2A is absolute so why are these people thinking they are some sort of enforcement arm of the unconstitutional ATF? Yet they have signs up complaining about the government. Pot meet kettle. It's a losing battle on this one. Our club is just as.... off.
They had to ban binary triggers because "you'll shoot the sky" and "someone might take off their ear pro thinking you're done and then you fire that second shot" and "someone on the road might hear it and think it's a machine gun" and "no one needs that". But, actual class 3 full auto is fine.
Somehow that mythical person standing on the road can tell the difference between a binary shooting the sky and an actual full auto, and I guess call the cops on the binary guy? If you're looking at someone's trigger finger as your indicator that the range is cold and it's safe to take off your ears, you deserve what you get.
Good luck escaping that sort of thinking. I just assume when the next generation takes over the range management we'll be banning those Phased Plasma Pulse Guns. No one needs a rifle in the 40 watt range, you'll shoot the sky!

is fudd an insurance requirement?
ranges have liability? or not?
I’ve never gone on the weekend, weekday mornings I’m almost always alone which is nice.Just don't go to H20 on a match day. What is it? 2nd Saturday of every month? I will never go back on a match day. (speaking of Fudds) I hope it wasn't any of you all that pissed me off so badly. I haven't been in a year or more.
Outside of that, outstanding outdoor range. Bring your own targets and target stands. There might be some stands there.....
so...a fudd is somebody you do not like?
Nah, like I said fudds are people feigning their support for the 2a when in reality they are steppers.Yeah, pretty much.

Where do you shoot? Nothing riles me up more than a stupid fudd. At least gun grabbers don't hide their intentions, fudds make your life more difficult for no reason at all and want you to pay them for the pleasure of doing so.I’ve never had to show a copy of a stamp but if anyone at a range ever asked me I’d show them my costco card instead. id rather be around purple hair lefties than a fudd.

You know, I posted I all out and I just don't know that I want to get into it again, still pisses me off. A year+ later. What happened?
The "policing" should end at the five weapons safety rules. 3D printed DIAS, unregistered SBRs, homemade suppressors, anything at all, doesn't hurt anyone unless you break those rules. The NFA is just another way for the .gov to manufacture crime and justify their jobs.I am a member at a private club. They encourage us to “police our own”.
I check any cars that come in to make sure nobody is driving on club property without a license.
And when I see someone coming out of a bathroom I run in behind them and sniff around to make sure they ain’t smoking pot in there.
Also, if they pull out a Grock or an AR47 I photograph them and send it to the mods at 1911.com.

Not the same thing at all. A can, full auto, or some other obvious piece of equipment that requires people to jump through those rediculous hoops to possess is very easily detected. A firearm that was stolen is not easily detected. A person running a range could have legal or insurance problems if he neglects to have some reason to think that the obvious equipment is legal. A stolen gun would not be likely to cause problems unless the person started bragging about stealing it or unless someone recognized it as a stolen firearm.Do you run every firearm on every range visit against some sort of stolen weapons database to make sure that no one is illegally using stolen guns? I aspire to be you some day, I cannot stand pseudo-ATF cosplaying agents. The more I read these threads the happier I am that I have a place to shoot in my own backyard.
I dont like you very much right now.... ie, jealous.....The more I read these threads the happier I am that I have a place to shoot in my own backyard.
