Handicap and defund LEOs, open prison doors, ignore ā€œminorā€ crimes, ā€œreimagine public safetyā€ and gun sales explode? Who could have expected that?

I usually go into FG&G once every other week. I never see Clay anymore. He's gained quite a few grey hairs since I saw him last. LOL

Clay's country accent and epic gun sales made the news in CA? Say it isn't so.

After Missy had some health issues, I didn't see Clay as much. Not sure if that had anything to do with it or not but I do catch sight of him from time to time.

I've been a patron for three location moves. I can't think of a time that I left there in a less than stellar mood. Other than trade in value but I can't fault them for that and I did not agree to it.

Add another one. Been buying from him for 15 years. Still remember the little shack over by the mexican restaurant. Then he moved into my daughter's old dance studio. I'm guessing he's the reason Sovereign Guns closed down as well.

I think Sovereign Guns is the reason Sovereign Guns closed down

Sovereign Guns: a really good example oh how to properly run customers out the door.

I think they finally found that covering their floors with rattlesnakes turned out to be the best way to keep people out. They had ignoring customers, being rude to customers, and pointing guns at them, which worked for most.
But the rattlesnake idea was a stroke of genius, finally allowing them to close up shop for good.

Isn't that the truth!!! Went in there twice, and may presence wasn't even acknowledged either time.
Even though both are only a few miles from my house, I only went into SG once. I was very "young" in my gun knowledge and looking for a specific gun. FG&G was cheaper, so that was all that mattered. I never stepped foot into their building again. I know some people think FG&G is only concerned about the dollar... but isn't that ANY business? The guys at FG&G are always SUPER helpful, I mean SUPER! Not only that, they're pretty knowledgeable and if the salesman doesn't know the answer, they don't BS you and instead go find someone that does. Their prices are pretty dang good too. Still their prices on pmags are the lowest I've seen, anywhere, discounting that you don't have to pay for shipping. I haven't seen anyone, even running their specials, that have pmags below 9.99. I honestly feel kinda lucky only living a few miles from one of the best gun shops in the state.

I used to be allowed behind the counter to look at some of their hard to see stuff from time to time. Shopped there for years knew some employees personally and I still got crap service

Yep, I remember the little shack.

Yeah, like everyone else has eluded to Sovereign Guns is the reason Sovereign Guns closed down. The last straw was when I laid something on the counter to purchase and the kids running the register couldn't be bothered to interrupt their conversation to ring me up. I walked out without buying it. I think I visited 3 times which was probably 2 too many. They were a poster child for how NOT to run a business. Especially when trying to compete with one like FG&G.

Price gouging isn't possible on gunbroker. It just isn't.

Online gun and ammo purchases are hobby/frivolous/luxury purchases and can't in any way be considered necessities in terms of being eligible for labeling "price gouging". Guns are like celebrity-endorsement sneakers. You pay what someone asks, or you don't buy them.

As much as some pretend that guns and ammo are necessities, they are not.

Except maybe in some parts of Chicago, but I imagine those buyers aren't using gunbroker.
I literally used Clay's own words from a previous video they posted.

I don't mind paying up for an item, but be honest about it. Don't pretend to be doing me a favor and screw me at the same time.

I have no idea about GB, everything on there is over priced. Everything in their store is beyond fairly priced, often being the cheapest I can buy anywhere whether online or in some other store.

I've only been to F G&G one time. I bought a used gun. I think I got a good deal, and I asked them to throw in a box of ammo. They gave me a free box of 10mm hollow points.

Can't beat that... But that was before covid and the current panic buying...
