Glock to Release 10 Round, G43X Pistol

It will be smaller and lighter than a 19 and you wont have to put talon grip on the handle to be able to hold onto it.

Some of these reactions remind me of the reactions to the 19x and then the Glock 45 and oddly enough Glock sells every one of them and we now have people saying the Glock 45 is the best Glock ever...not that I agree with that but the emotional outpour over Glock new releases is both amusing and mind boggling.

The part about the 19x/45 is true. I was one of those “why” people.
So I’m a bit hypocritical in liking the 43X concept.

But the 43x concept just ticks so many boxes. It’s basically a mini 19.

But yeah, it’s not anything to send up fireworks, parades, etc about.

That's what my dealer told me a while back. Couldn't give many details but told me it was going to be almost like a single stack 19. I'm excited for it

I may not be a Glock fanboy, but I am definitely a Glock 43 fanboy. Mine has near mystical powers to ride around in my pocket for a month or so, be pulled out at the range and put rounds right on target much better than many other larger pistols I've owned.

Once the 43x is out long enough to work out the bugs, and I can find some sights like the Talo edition 43, I'll be procuring one.

...or, this could just be an emotional outburst at something new and shiny.
After all, I haven't bought any new guns in a while.

The G43 I have now has the best trigger of all the Glocks I've owned, and it is bone stock. Might need to wait for them to get the first batch out there.
Same for me.

I got my 43 right after getting a CZ PCR, and took them to the range for the first time together. I shot circles around the PCR with the 43. After more time with both, that is no longer the case (the PCR is stoopid-accurate); but right out of the box, I was stacking them up with the 43.

The only advantage, for me, of the 19 over the 43, is capacity. Makes me really curious about the 43X.

Is it supposed to be a double stack like the 365 or single like the current 43? If single I’m curious as to why they needed to make it thicker

Whose baseplate is that in the wee Glock? I recognize the others.

Strike Industries EMP+2. It matches the grip wonderfully. Cost about the same as the Vickers. The Vickers are slightly more compact though...

It's run flawlessly too for what it's worth...

I had to do a little surgery on the Vickers to get them to load to capacity, but they now run better than the Glock mags do in stock configuration.

I never really used the stock mags much before I modded them all...

Really? I had no issues with the Vickers. They're my favorite of the +2 mags I've tried.

I did have to run the EMP with a factory base insert instead of the thicker one that came with it to get all 8 rounds in it.

Those clear ETS mags have mag springs that roll around too much and bind up. Rarely able to fully load them.

The 7rd Taran is the best, but I had issues with the 8rd and got rid of it.

That plastic phallic thing that sticks up from the middle of the bottom of the baseplates was too long on mine. Just trimmed it down until they behaved.

Been so long I don't remember what the internal parts looked like on those...

You misspelled "I'm definitely getting one of these if not 2".
lol

Lol... A few years ago, yes. Now, if it doesn't serve a purpose or fill a roll, I don't buy...

If it appears to be a significant advancement over my 43 I'll consider a swap but I don't see it yet based on what I read. Pictures could easily change that of course...

Recoil Magazine just posted the specs on their Instagram.

Next thing you know they'll be releasing them in lots of different color plastics

That picture is to scale on my Mac monitor. The barrel is 7/8's of an inch longer than a G43, as well as the half inch longer grip.
I'm losing interest.

We’re you hoping the barrel length would stay the same?

Yes. I pocket carry, and the G43 in its current form just puts rounds on target like a larger pistol. I'm interested in the increased capacity, but not the increased barrel length.

Makes sense.

The pic was pretty hard to read in IG too....

I am with you @fieldgrade. I like the 43 for what it is. If I need a bigger barrel and more capacity a 26, 19 or 17 is the ticket

I used to carry a 43 in a ChiefJason all leather pancake OWB under a shirttail or jacket and if I still did I think I would be interested, but since I started pocket carrying a year or so ago I just don't see this one working for me.

For folks that carry IWB this might be an interesting alternative since it's so skinny and svelte. I might even rethink pocket carrying. I just don't like carrying doublestacks on my belt. I rattle through doorways, can't fit in some chairs, harder to buckle seatbelts, blah, blah,

So why not just carry a 26 then? Oh yeah marketing gimmick got it!

Gen 1, Gen 2, Gen 3, Gen 4, Gen 5, etc. G19x, G45, etc.

Callaway Golf Drivers - Big Bertha, Big Bertha Warbird, Great Big Bertha, Biggest Big Bertha, etc.

That’s cute, and somewhat interesting, but I’ll stick with my G29, because 10mm....

I agree if I am going to owb carry I am going to carry a gun with more rounds to send down range in my opinion.

I can see this working as an option for folks in NJ where mag limits are an issue.

Yep!! If I miss it doubles as a flash bang!

I remember one of my first BUG matches and you were running that beast. I think I was shooting .380.

.380 hits steel - *ding*
10mm hits steel - **GONG**
