First thing Monday I'm going out and buy a train horn for my truck. I've kind of had it with the traffic light texters. Ya stupid ass sits there texting or posting on dumbface while the rest of the world is supposed to wait until you're through.
NEWS FLASH SNOWFLAKE..... Get ready to have your butt BLASTED and if it makes you pee your pants, your problem.... Heart attack, your problem, deafness, your problem... Pay attention!!
I can't be the only person experiencing this???

Sounds like a great idea. Lately it's like every other light I'm sitting there waiting to the dumbass in front of me to step on the gas. It would be great to have the first blast or two on film for some good laughs. ;);)

Good grief, the world will not come to an end if you don't respond the the latest text or email RIGHT NOW!

People are so stupid. Sometimes I pray that the grid will go down just long enough for these dingbats have to live in a non-digital world for a day or two.
 
I honestly believe it has gotten worse over the last 18 months.
So many drivers have that phone up to their head, oblivious to what is
going on around them as they drive 30-55-70+ mph.

On top of that, we have an elementary school and nobody follows the 35MPH speed limit.
 
People are dumb, it's not limited to using the phone.
I've debated a horn upgrade a few times. Probably gonna make that happen soon.
 
To bad cellphone jammers are illegal (and pricey) ...

As to the OP train horns are a little on the large side and require more air ... a semi horn would do just fine though :D

I have a Stebel Nautilus 134db air horn on my bike. I've made quite a few people jump and had one lady spill her coffee all over herself when she was trying to occupy the lane that I was in.

But the market on dash cams has been exploding and the sky is the limit on choices and options.

If you're in the market for one, it's nice if you have a vehicle with a "switched power port" that allows the camera to turn itself on and off when the ignition is turned on or off. That, by far, is the most important feature for me.

I want a something akin to an air raid/nuke warning horn. It be great at stoplights when the thuggles want to rattle everyone else’s windows with their crap. Flick the switch on, listen to it spool up, and look around like you can’t tell where it’s coming from :D

That’s the problem, we put warning labels on stuff and stupid people survive....remove all warning labels off all products and let Mother Nature thin the herd out!

Texting is still legal while stopped for red lights. Sitting through half a green deserves a honk though.

Holiday time is the worst with people driving at dark in areas they don’t normally go to so they can buy stuff. They also want to meet people they rarely see for coffee/drinks and they often make calls to tell folks they are late or can’t find the exact thing they set out to find.
 
The next time a trucker runs me off the road because he decides he needs to pass and I am already passing him, something’s going to give.
I take it as an act of war when you try to kill my family.
I can’t tell you how many times this happened to me when I went west and back.
Just because you can go 61 and the truck in front of you can only go 60, is no reason to tie up traffic for the next six miles as you try and get around him.
And if I am in the left lane doing 75 and you run me off the road to pull that BS.

Hmmmmm, never mind.

When the light turns green and the car in front of me doesn't go, I start counting. I give them until 3 Mississippi. If they have not started rolling on 3 Mississippi, they get the horn. I just give them a quick honk to wake them up, not a long blast to beleaguer the point. I honked some self-absorbed twat yesterday that was texting through the green arrow instead of going, and he starts gesticulating at me as he finally started to pull off once I honked. I find it funny when folks get all pissed off at me because I am actually paying attention while driving, when they are the idiots that can't even properly negotiate a traffic signal.

There's no reason to drive like an idiot. I've used my horn on other trucks plenty of times.

As to passing other trucks, it's not as simple as just riding behind them sometimes. Ever been in a truck with adaptive cruise? Wingman sensors? Blasted things just beep at you constantly if you are behind someone. If you drop back far enough for it to go off, a car will get in front of you and set it off again. It's pretty nerve wracking. IMO, governing trucks at or below the speed limit is a stupid idea. It's not that the trucks can't go any faster. It's the company will not let them. Lucky for us we are governed at 65 on the peddle and 69 on the cruise so we can usually get past other trucks.

And if you want to go 75 in a 60 don't get pissed of at me for trying to pass someone and not going fast enough for YOU. I'm not obligated to stay in the right lane and slow my day down to suit you, or anyone else. I'll get back over when I get around. Cars do the same thing to me all the time.

Sure. They are mad that you noticed, that you called it to their attention, and that they have to (or should) acknowledge internally that they messed up. Not mature enough to own up to it, learn, and move on.
