"Rep. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., told Fox News he left just before the shooting. As he walked to his car, a man asked DeSantis if it was Republicans or Democrats practicing. About three minutes the shooting began, DeSantis said."
Sounds like someone might have been specifically targeting R's.
It's a little early for folks to be connecting dots.
Lots of talk on the news about how ineffective a pistol is saying "it's like bringing a knife to a gun fight."
I don't know if the Cap policewoman had only a pistol, but they say without her return fire, it would have been a tragedy.
Tragedy isn't the word I would use.I don't know if the Cap policewoman had only a pistol, but they say without her return fire, it would have been a real masacre.
Haven't seen that part, but I did see where they're prattling on about it being a semiautomatic weapon.Top comment I've seen so far:
"Right now CNN is trying to make up a story about how this was an alt-right member dissatisfied that Trump isn't conservative enough. You think I'm kidding? Watch. "
IF this was a politically motivated wacko any bets on if the R's now will get it? That the base support of their Marxst opponents in Congress are badically violent Marxists that will do anything to have power and control? That this is really a long term political war. And that playing nice to get along will end just like this morning did? Or will Mr. Ryan and Mr. McConnell do a press confer pence standing next to Schumer and Pelosi to showmthis fictional unity. And of course the budget for the Capitol Police and Secret Service will have to be increased. More government workers with more guns and bigger vehicles to protect them for the people.
Historically, the events that spark the major conflagrations have been things that in and of themselves would die out in fairly short order, but under the surrounding circumstances of being at the right time become something much bigger. The only thing that can be said either certainty is that the event is always something that couldn't have been predicted. This could very well be the event that gets the civil war really in the next stage, as may of you suggest we've been in for some time.
In some of the 'reporting' I've heard this morning, the suspect could have fired over a hundred rounds. My guess is this guy never went to a range, or maybe went once, because his marksmanship, thank God, was horrible.
My thought is that the shooter was most likely a recent graduate of Lucien Black's Voda Consulting firm...
The ballpark is in Alexandria, VA. But of course it wouldn't have mattered if the ballpark was located inside DC. Someone intent on murder doesn't care about gun possession laws.Forgive my cynicism but no matter who the shooter was or their political affiliations, this will be spun into a call from the Left for some form of gun control legislation. Even though firearms are verboten in the District of Columbia.
Uh wrong. There were no fatalities. Had he been a student of Voda Consulting, it'd been a blood bath

Alexandria is in Virginia, so the DC gun laws do not apply. My wife has relatives there and she carries when visiting. But if you cross the river into DC you give up all your rights as a human being.
