While 9mm and 5.56 are returning there are way more that are still hens teeth … like .380 and .38special. Companies are turning out truckloads of the common stuff because it is selling for the various reasons AND they can just run machines without reconfiguring for a different round. We may see the higher demand stuff fill back in (at a higher price) but those with lower demand will still be at “when you see it buy it” … I am still on back order for a case of 2 1/2” 20 gauge paper shells for my vintage LC Smith and RTS has no guess when.
True. If you are the manufacturer you are going to continue to pump out 9mm and 556 because you know it will sell at a good profit and you do not have to retool you simply run the line 24/7 with 0 downtime.
