How much ammo do you feel like you need?

Look at this logically.
The Dems want to keep handing out "Covid Relief Checks".
Along with this, the .gov is handing out buckets of money to businesses to stay afloat.
Whether right or wrong is another discussion but the fact remains that the .gov has handed out Trillions and Trillions of dollars to keep us afloat.
Ok, just like the people who max out their charge cards in December, there comes a time to pay this all back, with interest.
So, who will pay this back? All of us.
It's called taxes.

My point?
Well, one way to fuel their agenda and to get it passed in Congress is to put the sin taxes in full force.
They will tax (even more) the liquor we buy, the cigarettes we smoke, they will pass a nationwide marijuana amnesty and tax the hell out of it.
Gasoline, energy and other consumables we use every day will become jacked up by taxes to pay these government teat funding.

Ammo, this thread is about ammo. They will tax it per round to make it harder to buy for the everyday man.
$0.10 a round tax for .22 rimfire and $0.15- $0.25 per round for handgun and rifle ammo.
You won't see $10 9mm ammo any more once these taxes are put in place and if you think it won't happen then you haven't been paying attention to what is happening at our Capitol. A 50 count box of 9mm ammo could have a $7.50 in additional taxes at $0.15 per round. That's paying the same as it costs today. We are "getting used to paying it now. They know this. They don't care. They've wanted to tax ammo for years and now they have a "reason" to do it.

We have to and will pay for these govt handouts. It's economics. You spend it, you have to collect it.
Simple.

I don't see ammo getting any cheaper like it did after '08, 12-'15, etc.
If you didn't stock up on ammo in 2017 and 2018 then be prepared to shoot less or to pay a lot more.

I tend to keep 1,000-2,000 rounds per ammo type for firearms I own. With this whole ammo craze I havenā€™t shot at all or bought any new stock (except 7.62x39).. Iā€™ll likely just ride out the ammo craze cause I canā€™t afford to shoot $0.50/round (which is a conservative estimate at time of writing).

My neighbor has exactly 3 cartridges for his 30-06 hunting rifle. Iā€™d say that might not be enough. So more is always better. You can always sell it, trade it or give it away to a friend. Stored properly it wonā€™t go bad any time soon.

I bought a box of 45 acp and a box of 22LR when I bought a new rifle a few weeks ago. That is the only ammo I have purchased in more than 6 months.
It only takes one of those rounds to take you out and steal your ammo.šŸ¤Æ

ā€œEnoughā€ is a relative term to each individual person. Whatā€™s enough for me might not be enough for you and vice-versa. I know how much I shoot and train monthly, multiplied out, and how much I want for a shtf load out. The big thing right now is we have no idea what legislation the current admin is gonna push through. Theyā€™re obv not shy about using executive orders.

Two rounds is all you need, Uncle Joe told me that.

"If you want to ensure your descendants can enjoy the hobby like you did then you should probably be preparing for the apocalypse."

Yes but after the apocalypse we should be out of ammo, or not care in the least, according to the movies, because only the star will be left alive.

Commenting on how high prices get is a tradition around here
