I Drink My Coffee Black

It just came to me...I haven't had a cup of coffee since 17 March. The day I left work for the Great Killer Flu of '20. They always had it ready for me when I got there.:):) Those were the days......

I refuse to limit myself when it comes to certain things, and how I drink my coffee being one of them. As of right now, I am enjoying a cup black. In a bit, should I choose to have another cup, I may add milk and sweetener. A large part of "being a man" is not allowing silly mandates decided to be gospel by others to dictate how I navigate my brief, vaporous time above ground.

I have never developed a taste for coffee of any color ,flavor or taste.I use to hear coffee commercials about it being good to the last drop.

Grand Pa always said "That last drop will stain your shorts"

I started drinking is black in my teens because frankly I was too lazy to add stuff. I have been drinking it black ever since.

I like my coffee like Chunky Soup: so thick you can eat it with a fork.

I used to have my coffee many different ways when I was younger- last 20 years or so, only black and as strong as I can get away with since the Mrs doesn't like hers as strong and we share the pot. If she's away, then it's as dark as my heart and as strong as my soul.
Tea: only herbal/caffeine free, when I want a hot drink in the late afternoon or evening, with honey. I've been known to add lemon and booze when sick with a bad cold or such.

To plagiarize from a favorite YouTube channel: the best coffee is the coffee you like, the way you like to drink it.

And. Being a man means having the courage to do what you like, not what others tell me I should like.

Even if it means getting your tallywhacker turned inside out and wearing a frock?

You seem uncomfortably familiar with that even being a thing.

It's funny. YEARS ago I put cream and sugar in coffee. About 4 years ago I dropped the sugar, and just put cream in it - plenty of sugar in the cream. Once in a while I drink it black. If I get one of those rare, rare treats of REAL Jamaican Blue or Kona, well, THAT I drink savor straight. Smooth and unadulterated.

Next gun show Im bringing coffee and pouring sugar and cream into it at the FB table.

I drink my coffee by the 32 oz cup, 1 table spoon chocolate malt, 2 splenda, 4 oz milk, fill with good coffee. I normally drink 3 of them by lunch time.

Best instant coffee ever!
heh. I'll take single serving instant coffee packets with me on trips, just in case i'm somewhere that I can't get a coffee, and then hold my nose and down a couple at a time. The regular ones somehow TASTE foamy... which is all sorts of confusing. When I first started dating my wife, she kept packs at her apartment for when I visited... I don't think she understands the sacrifices I made in those early days. I imagine that's how people feel on methadone.

I just bought this. I hope it’s worth it and I’d better not catch anyone putting cream or sugar in it!!!

I finally opened this bag and ground some beans this morning. I have to say that it is the smoothest, least bitter coffee I have drank to date. I drank it black and it was delicious. There is a very complicated flavor profile which is mellow in the beginning but starts popping off different taste receptors as you keep drinking.
