ideas for a thin framed 45?

Well, honestly, if you're really considering buying another gun just to shoot up all your .45 ACP instead of just cycling it through the two pistols you already have, might as well go all in and jump through the hoops to get a Tommy Gun.

Won't be thin. Won't be light. And darn sure won't be cheap. But it WOULD be fun and cool at the same time!

OR...you can just sell me all the .45 ACP you have on the cheap and call it a day!

I had a 4506 and a 4566 tactical. I miss em both. I think i paid $450 for the tactical and $379 for the 4506-1... it was a beat up trade in though.

Nice handy lil carry gun Smith 4553 TSW that I picked up cheap a while ago.

Sig 220 German... they show up a lot last one got cheap, great shape, missed out on a few more
one was like new 4 xtra mags, case, holster, and some other stuff, $500. plus tax / fees, but dragged
my feet....oh well.

Just to see the $0 option here, I pulled the G21.2 out and did some dryfire with it. It's... big... and awkward.... but feels like a glock in some ways. :)

I may have to get it to the range and reassess my disdain for large plastic double stacks.

I think that if the choice is a gun I already own vs. a new gun that's going to cost at least a fat three figures just to blow through a stock of ammo I no longer want, I'd stick with the gun I already own.

Because if I bought a new gun I liked for a fat three figures, then blew through my entire stock of ammo I didn't want...now I'd be stuck with a new gun and NO AMMO for it, which would mean I'd be spending three figures right and left just to stock back up on ammo again!

Maybe just borrow someone's .45 you like instead!

That is a conundrum. To go through all this ammo I have to embrace whatever it is I'm going to pick and run it all the time for a year including all the matches and training classes and whatnot. It's gotta be more than just turning ammo into noise and brass, it's gotta be a thoughtful use of the ammo resource I've purchased.

But then in the end, I've got to give it up and move back to the G34.

Why do you have to do one or the other? It's valuable to be able to cross train platforms and move back and forth between them.

Post up a trade for 9mm, on favorable terms someone will do it. You’ll look at the math and think you’re taking a loss, but sometimes you pay a little to solve problems. You might need to do a few trades, I’m thinking you’re sitting on 20k rounds, maybe a few more.

Or you wait, it isn’t costing you much and everyone predicts increasing prices as we approach the election, and it’ll probably go nuts when Trump loses to Biden again.

I'm going for maximum results with minimal time investment, I want to stay competitive at IDPA without devoting too much time to it. Swapping platforms around isn't going to help me in this case.

My G21s are honestly my favorite handguns. Maybe not my "best" handguns, but man do I love them!

I'll take the ammo, can burn through what you have in no time... have a MAC attack .just bring shovel for brass. It ain't a "thin framed 45" but its sure hungry..

Or...sell it, swap it. To me its money in the bank and given the current administration / atmosphere..$$$$

Came here to say this. - Would be cooler if they had a "K45" model like the K9. I love those. The wood grips and silver frame is sexy.

Do you actually want a 45? If not, I'd imagine you'd be able to offload all the ammo for a profit if you stacked it from a while back.

I was told today to just trade the 45 for 9 and call it a day, so that's the route I'll take.

Unless something really cool comes out at SHOT this year.
