Hey guys! I might as well join in the conversation. Not sure I'll be to /TOO popular here as I'm on the ATF compliance, administrative and education side of retail/manuf firearm industry (someone has to do the MFing paperwork and keep the gun runners in check *wink*). I try to avoid politics as much as possible and just here to keep my employer in business!! I'm here if anyone needs to chitchat questions about exporting weapons to stamp process or FFL compliance. I'm amazed at the experts in the Charlotte community in all things firearms and shooting.

BTW...you have contacts in the NFA Division? I have a training issue with them that somebody needs to straighten out. They’re just making up rules as they go.

Yes, like the US State Dept the rules come from 1) historically practiced 2) written Law 3) published Advisory opinions 4) IO's (ATF inspection) opinions 5) whoever you speak to at the NFA or ATF 's opinion
....many more

I have found in the NFA division an agent by the last name of E Payne was very helpful despite the above or at least would call me back

Welcome from Charlotte! What do you ride? (Motorcycle)

Welcome! So you're on the Fed side of the paperwork process or FFL side? I've suggested policy change for the BATFE before to a number of members of Congress, but their attempts to help me only seemed to hinder/slow the process.

Still keeping the inspectors busy though.

My passion is keeping gun guys in business - FFL side as you call it/ private 2A business owners. I enjoy being the shield and walking administrator between the ATF or any regulating gov entity and the business owner. It's a weird passion. Ive stepped on toes. I have been fired. But I love it and here to help those open to profit driven changes in compliance/admin in the 2A industry.

Welcome to CFF.

Glad to have you with us.

Greetings and welcome to CFF! That is an interesting job you have. Happy to have you on board with us.

Welcome to the fun house. I once applied for a position like that with Remington in Charlotte. Didn't get the job but got one working on Miniguns and other automatic weapons. Last week had ATF approve an Importation License for me here in Afghanistan.

Good for you! and now you know the cost of time and dollars in the import/export of firearms market! You don't know the definition of red tape until you approach this!
