is anyone else oddly attracted to the rock island m206?

I'm liking the grip angle and round butt; the rest, no. Hopefully it's like every other Rock and shoots straight and lasts forever.

Its ugly, but at the right price, I bet it would be a handy little gun to have around.
new otd prices of 225.00 makes them prettier. haven't seen them used yet, but I would expect hi-point like pricing.

This would be the definition of a truck gun. There when you need it and no one would want to steal it.

I got your back vp9c I first came across the blued model last year when I was looking for a cheap wheel gun to keep on the boat. (I've seen enough of yalls bad luck with guns and boats, I didn't want to chance it with a nice one :p). Anyways, I agree it's an ugly gun, I never bought one but I've had my eye on it ever since. Maybe I'll get one next year

I saw one at the gun show in Charlotte a few weeks back, didn't bother to pick it up. At that price, I wish I had! My 1911 Rock has been flawless.

I have 2 rock islands that are very well built. I don't know about this one looks wise though.

It's kind of like having a thing for girls with big/crooked noses. Nobody else likes them and you can have them all to your self...

Think I would rather ride a Rhino

Your experience with Rock Island has been very different than mine.

I like them. My experience with Rock Island has been very good, so I would imagine it would be a good shooter.

I think it has a place in the stable as a truck gun, tackle box gun, or something similar. Certainly not a BBQ gun.

Meh. If somebody gave me one I'd give it a squeeze, but I don't envision buying one.

I'm in the bennnn camp, even if his avatar makes me question my own mortality while envisioning the end time.

That said I'm all for manufacturers seeing a spot that they can fit into the market and taking it.

I've only owned their 1911s, never any of the other products. I've been entirely pleased with the 4 or 5 that I've had.

Looks like an old Charter Arms to me. Bet it goes bang just fine & would make a fine console/glove box gun.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the revolver isn't made by Armscor and isn't quite up to the quality of the 1911s (which has been awesome for me). I was looking at one as a beater pistol for keeping under the tractor seat, and I read too many bad reviews. YMMV

You know I love the ria guns, so yeah, I've got one or to be precise my wife does, picked one up at a local pawnshop last year for 125.00 ,it's like every other ria ,I own it may not be the prettiest, but it does exactly what it supposed to,functions with no problems,

Nope, can't say it appeals to me... Except for that price tag. If it's a solid performer, not a bad option for a budget gun.

I have been interested in trying one out for a few months now. I actually kind of like the look, and the price tag makes it that much more attractive.

Hmmm, " not made by armscor" ? Now, I hesitate...
But, RIA customer service covers this still, right ?

I haven't been able to find a source to support that they aren't made by armscor. Would love to see that!

Ok, gotcha ! Didn't do any research, just saw that in previous post by Premise. Maybe he could provide the info ?

I was trying to verify this with no luck. Source?

The one that I have says manufactured by armscor on the barrel and again on the frame
