Whatcha getting?

So far, some decent gusts and a bit of rain in Chesterfield County, SC.

This system seems to be spawning a few tornados and a plethora of warnings.

We just had a torrential downpour of sideways rain.

5” of rain here in wnc
Rain has stopped now but the wind is tearing through here.

Super gusty and now sideways torrential rain here in Greensboro

This is not all the electrical utilities in the Carolinas. Just the ones that effect me and mine in central NC and the SC Low Country.

Whatcha getting?
Gettin' purt near sick of Ol' Roy heisting his petticoats over his mug and screechin' "State of Emergency, State of Emergency!!!"

Will no one rid me of this turbulent Goobernor?

The massive rain has tapered to a normal rain finally in Hickory. Was very windy which has passed to the east. I slept till 9am. Normally up at 5am. Got a text wind is heading this way again.

Rain with periods of heavy wind and rain.
Been this way for the past hour.

Just saw on Ryan Hall Y'all that the squall line runs all the wat down to Belize.

Some rain, some wind... but we've already lost power once (for about 2 hours).

I was unable to sell the old generator so I'm sitting on three of them now... you would think that would keep the power outage demons away but I guess it doesn't work that way.

I impressed by the number of warnings being issued, the number of tornadoes, and the spread.

The latest tornado warning is for Robeson County. The one before that was issued for just south of my Sister's house in Jacksonville, FL.

One neighbor refuses to drag a downed branch out of the road and has resorted to screaming on Facebook that everyone needs to stop driving over his front lawn.
There was a giant oak across the street that came down in the BIG ice storm 20 some-odd years ago. It came down across his yard, the power lines, the road, and 2/3s of my front yard. Snow still covered the ground and roads. People were fourwheeling through my yard, right up at the porch, to get around this massive tree. I’d run out with a flashlight in the dark yelling at them to get the hell out of my yard literally chasing the vehicles as they ditched my yard trying to get away.

My boys were about 4 and 8, and were standing on the sofa against the wall looking out the front window laughing their butts off. They thought it was hilarious,

Three of us spent the next day carving up enough of that tree to get out of our driveways and up the street.

Now i'm imagining you chasing the Bumpus Hounds.

This last angry orange line of storms looks like it just passed G’boro. The blue pin is me.

This combination of events is less than fortuitous.

Could use an assist from anyone willing. Free firewood. Willow Oak.

Edited to add. Tree removal company coming in the morning. Very reasonable estimate.

Came home a little earlier and found a neighbor's huge pine tree lying across my back yard and close to my back door but thankfully, no damage to our home. Things are starting to get a little rougher here and are forecasted to remain like that for another hour or so.
