Doh … the one I played with was integrally suppressed not an SBR w/can and some how some way they had it setup to fold.I was keeping it rifle length for legal purposes of travel
yes they are.
i am still looking for a used one in .40.
yeah, i know.
Yeah, that is what I am looking for, I have a PA red dot that needs a home. thinking of a light/laser combo also.Explore the alternative optics mounts if you want to put a dot on it. I started with the midwest mount which looked nice but wouldn't allow the dot to stay zeroed at all, it was way worse than just sticking with the irons. Then did the mcarbo which is really bulky and sticks out like a sore thumb.... but actually works.
I did run a PCC match with a dot mounted up on the factory rail, lasted about 2.5 stages before the optic flew off. Finished the stage and the rest of the match with the irons.
I had one in 40, it’s alright but felt like I had to wear a face shield when shooting it...would get some powder burn from shooting it. I found out I like my AR pistols better and I can hide/conceal them just as well.
Here is one of my AR pistol carry set ups

I know it’s a little slower to get it ready but I’m working on it .
Not trying to de-rail the thread just showing what I prefer as a ex-sub2000 user
@snapcap had one for sale. His name is Joe. I can message him on Facebook and see if he still has it.

I would like one yes lol
Seriously, don't try to make it better or into something it's not. It's purpose and beauty is in its minimalist nature IMO.
I always wondered: why not an integrally suppressed version so it folds flush?I like the way it folds flush to exactly 16``. Never considered any kind of permanent muzzle device. Now that you mention it, a tri lug adapter could be an option.
Ummm…like this?I always wondered: why not an integrally suppressed version so it folds flush?
Very cool but that's even uglier than their usual level.Ummm…like this?

Pretty much! Wish it still had sights though.Ummm…like this?

Stick folding AR front and rear on the rotary handguard. I say folding to reduce snag once you have it rotated.Pretty much! Wish it still had sights though.
FG&G had those a while back. I'd love to have one but I think marketing it as a HD weapon with optic etc. is missing the mark. Complicated rotating mounts or handguards screw up the entire concept. A Ruger or Beretta PCC would be much better in the HD role which doesn't benefit from the compact and folding nature of the Sub2k that is much more suited to mobile uses IMO. But it's the only PCC they have so...Ummm…like this?

Makes a good argument for ear plugs instead of muffs. One thing you'll see when you shoot it is that it's hard to get a good sight picture because of how low you have to get. Especially wearing ear pro'. I'm wondering if 45 degree back up sights would keep it from folding up.
I love mine in .40 S&W takes s&w m&p mags, with ability to use Glock or Beretta mags with little/minor alterations. I would suggest any to all of the Mcarbo upgrades you can. Especially the take down lever and trigger job.yes they are.

yeah, i know.
I'll try to remember to post pictures when I do. Worse comes to worse Kak says it works for 5.56/.223 as well so that is always an option. I got the micro version so it isn't hanging way off of the end.Since there is no timing involved I'd say essentially yes. You could use some type of a washer that would provide some springyness/back pressure to help to keep it from working loose, but I expect torqueing it down real good would suffice.
The most important thing is to post pics . I want to see how it looks folded and unfolded.
I'd also like to know what the perceived sound reduction is to the shooter, if any.
I have to get it to the range now, but I replaced the muzzle brake with the Kak mini flash can. It is roughly the same size. Got just a standard thread protector as well if I hate it. I'll report in after the range. Just got a bunch of MCarbo stuff for it as well so will update or start my own thread when I do that. Hoping for that tonight or tomorrow night.Since there is no timing involved I'd say essentially yes. Thanks, but the paint job isn't mine. Not exactly my cup of tea, but it is growing on me.Looks good, like the paint job.
