Break-Fast was a tasty Ribeye with Fried Eggs and Hollandaise

So Day 13... Almost halfway there. Weigh in this morning... 239#! That's 16 pounds in 13 days and I feel great! Would love to see another 10 gone before I finish the cleanse.

"break-fast" was Chorizo and Fried Eggs

Dinner was the last of the Ropa Vieja

This is an inspirational thread. I'm not that great of a cook but I'm trying. No time during the day to speak of either, so I try to cook on the weekends and have everything ready to assemble for the weekdays.

Lunch today is grilled chicken salad. Not a single bottle of dressing in the house is good for me so I'm just gonna go without it this time.

I eat "Break-Fast" at 10:30-11. It's the only meal I have until dinner around 6pm. I premake what I can while I'm following the plan. I'll premake most everything after I get into freestyling it in 30 days. There are plenty of "leftover" meals that take the cooking burden down a notch.

Although, I'm a lot stricter right now than most of those guys. I'm doing under 20g carbs, no dairy, no nuts or nut flours, no processed foods, and no sucralose or saccarin. I use Stevia for drinking and rarely a little Swerve(sugar alcohol) for dessert type applications.

Once I finish the cleanse portion, I'll make some minor changes. Maybe a little hard cheese and walnuts/pecans. After that, I'll work a little liquor back in the mix too, but no beer anytime soon. Right now I'm on the wagon.

Your lunch may be tasty, but it's not in my diet. There's too much lean protein and unnecessary carbs under it. I think the issue I had with Atkins was too much protein. I didn't know your liver processes it into sugar. Now I'm eating the fattiest meats, dark chicken with bone and skin, ribeyes, lots of sausages and bacons, fatty fish, and I add fat to everything in the form of coconut oil or animal fats. shoot for 60%fat/30%protein/10%carbs minimum. 75/20/5 would likely be ideal from what I've been reading.

It's what I'm using. I'll be using recipes from it from now on mixed with my own. They're really good. Lots of good info in the book too. If you can suck it up and follow the cleanse for 30 days and then work from there, you'll see results I'm sure. The more you have to lose the faster you start out too as I understand...

Is that not shredded carrot in the pic? Sorry. Hard to see on my little screen. I know onions are a little starchy, but I put them on everything. I have standards... Cukes aren't bad either... The salad isn't really the issue. It's the meat/fat. You need more fat and less protein. You have to go all-in though. Can't half ass it like I used to or only do it 80% of the time. The key is to get into ketosis and stay there. Every time you cheat and knock yourself out you have to work back into it...

No, no carrots. That's a piece of tomato. There's cucumber, tomato, onion, and lettuce. That's all that's under the chicken. I'm making a trip to the grocery store tomorrow with a radically different shopping list. Good thing I like bacon and eggs.

Day 15... Had the "Ramen" Bowl for "Break-Fast" this morning. Love that dish. Dinner was a Burger piled with Mushrooms and Bacon with a Mixed Green Salad topped with Bacon Deviled Eggs. Have to get a pic when I make it again in a couple days...

Anyway, there is no limit so you can eat as much as you want, and are not supposed to weigh yourself.

Yeah. I find myself stepping on the scale more than I should... But it's day 16 and I'm down 19lbs! From 255 to 236 in just over 2 weeks...

We are eating a fairly low calorie diet right now. About 1200-1400 per day depending. I'm honestly making the portions slightly bigger for myself as I need the energy at work. Still can't be more than 1700-1800 or so max...

I too look forward to bringing back dairy... and coffee...
 
Day 16...

Break-Fast was Keto Pockets. Eggs, spinach, onion, and spices wrapped in Mortadella and fried up. A small breakfast, but man they're good. I didn't eat until almost noon today. Just wasn't hungry. Didn't snack either...

Dinner was Grilled Shrimp with Cilantro Sauce and a Panzanella Salad of Mixed Greens, a Sardine Vinaigrette, Grape Tomatoes, and Pork Rind Croutons. It was delish...

Today was a light day. Only 1100 calories. Not bothering me at all though... Tomorrow is a gorge day or something. Supposed to eat 6 eggs and 6 slices of ham with hollandaise... Ok...
 
I've noticed I hardly feel hungry at all. That hollow stomach feel has been absent even if I forget to eat.
And I never get that "full" feeling. Like stuffed full and laying on the couch sluggish can't move feeling, no matter how much I eat.

No carb buzz. It's a big difference in how my body feels.

The Keto Truck! That may work for people that don't have the cooking skills to stick with it. But you'll need to make house calls too.

I love that idea and if/when I do something culinary it will have keto/low carb options as opposed to standard diet options...
 
Day 18...

Had the Keto Pockets for Break-Fast during the rifle match this morning. Great grab and go option...

For dinner we kinda winged it with some leftovers and a couple things we liked from earlier in the week. It was supposed to be the shrimp with some weird keto fruit salad that neither of us found appetizing. So, we made a minor change...

Deviled Egg Salad with Bacon and Avacado and Spicy Grilled Shrimp with Cilantro Sauce.

Grasshopper Panna Cotta... A two part cream/pudding of chocolate and mint. Tastes like thin mint girl scout cookies in a jar! Dairy, nut, egg free. 88% fat, 5gr carbs, 2gr fiber...

LOl. If it was a drink, sure. Pudding? Not so sure... Probably would make it break down.
 
Day 19...

Break-Fast today is one I'm going to put in regular rotation... We've had it several times now on this cleanse...

Then for dinner we had Tuna Stacks with a Spinach Salad.... Really nice dish. Very fresh and tasty...

The Stack is Avocado, Purple cabbage, Tuna, Cucumber, Spicy Mayo, topped with Sesame Seeds and Paprika in a ring mold...

Today was off the rails. Didn't have what I needed to make enough ham cups, so I subbed in a piece of sausage for one... I'm sure it'll be fine. Tasted good...

Dinner was winged too... Colleen had a mandatory work dinner in Durham and I was in Zebulon working on the tiny house trailer brakes/bearings. So I just had a pork chop with sauerkraut and keto dressing. Didn't get a pic. Wasn't pretty but fit the bill and tasted good...

I'm down 22lbs... 3 more to go by next Tuesday morning to hit my goal for the cleanse. I think I can do it...

Mystery meat and veggies for lunch
Protein powder and veggie powder shake for dinner veggie swimming 4 miles.
