Mandalorian Season 3

Lots of action in today’s episode which was pretty cool, but the end felt like a series final, not a season final.
They've already confirmed season 4, so maybe the character focus is going to change.

Definitely had the ” Lonewolf and cub” feel the first season had. I hope it does go back to that honestly.

Me too, but unfortunately I expect less Tatooine more Plazir-15.

But seriously, if they drop the Din Djarin & Grogu storyline for Bo-Katan, Moff Gideon and the Armorer I will not be shocked.

The Mandalorian's pistol's foundation is the T\C single shot pistol.. The rear sight and trigger guard is a tell.

Rumor is that Jon Favreau was pushed out of his show. He made the original story for the season, but other writers actually wrote the dreck it has become. Notice that they killed off Favreau's character, and Filoni, not Favreau, is making the Avengers style movie this is all moving towards.

My prediction for finale:
Din Djarin will die.
Bo Katan will be the Mandalorian moving forward.
The Emperor will show up. Now that Favreau is out, they are full steam ahead towards tying in with the movies. Note Navarro now looks like Galaxys Edge? Peak stupid would be bringing the Emperor into this, which is why I expect it.
I have not heard anything to support that Favreau I’d not still leading the project. Where have you seen reports of that.

That he's not in the movie that Filoni is directing.
That Kathleen Kennedy, in the star wars celebration, mentioned Filoni I think more than 40 times, and Favreau once.
That the character he acted as, Paz, was killed by the annoying Last Jedi ninjas.
That the quality dropped off a cliff, like he doesn't care any more.
That the stuff from season 2, Baby Yoda going to Luke, the Moff, the Darksaber, all were retconned/gone by the end of the season, and the season seemed framed around making things fit in with the sequel trilogy. Oh, and muh queen.
That he was offered a job in DC.

All together, it looks to me like he's checked out, and no longer putting in the effort.

Filoni overall is the one driving the bus. After digging around I found one unconfirmed report from an unnamed source that he was mad about how Book of Fett ended up and that he was mad about Gina Carano’s exit but none of that has been confirmed. It might be true but it makes no sense. The reported threat was he was going to stop working on Mando and focus on Ahoska which makes no sense. Either he is out or he’s in.

All of the work they are doing has to match into the sequel Trilogy because the timeline is fixed. That is why Andor can only have so many seasons because it has to fit into the timeline established by Rogue one.

Seems like a lot of speculation without substance. To me all 3 seasons have had their ups and downs. JF has always been second to Filoni because he is the one who has done the most to craft the narrative for this time period since Lucas stepped down. Clone Wars, Rebels etc are all Filoni. JF is taking narrative clues from Filoni not the other way around.

We'll see.
My prediction:
Disney will have almost no revenue positive(when taking into account production costs+marketing against box office adjusted for actual take-home) until Deadpool 4 next year, except Guardians.

Favreau will be out in a year, my prediction. Indy will lose money, the Accolyte will be a short miniseries rather than a full production. I don't think the Rey movie will actually happen.

But most of all, with the writers strike and Disney cutting billions of costs, Star Wars productions will hit a wall, unfortunately.

Trust me, woke is dying. The people who write the checks won't allow the franchises to keep losing their money. It's just that those projects were greenlit years ago. That's why so many movies have been delayed, so they can rewrite the BS out.

Does not make sense with what is out there on multiple outlets.

Favreau shares, “Season four [of The Mandalorian,] yeah, I’ve written it already. We have to know where we’re going to tell a fully formed story. We had mapped it out, Dave [Filoni] and I, and slowly you just write each episode. So I was writing it during post-production. Because all of it has to feel like a continuation and one full story.” #plokoon

Anyone else heard the concept that the Mandalorian is a Jewish Allegory?

I'm a MASSIVE SW fan. The OG that is. I have EU books that could stack to the ceiling. I officially stopped watching Mando last week. :(

Ashoka is their final chance to keep me interested. Love the clone war and rebels animated series. If they try to bring Thrawn, one of the greatest villains in all of fictional history, into this woke BS, then they've officially lost a lifetime fan.
I’ve disliked Disney’s involvement from the first and think they should have just let Timothy Zahn rewrite his first trilogy for the screen. It’s so much better in my mind than what Disney came up with. Also I think Karen Traviss and her Mandalorian universe is much better than this series portrayal.

I finally binged the remaining 7 episodes. I'm not a geek about this show so all the time line commentary means little to me. I just want to be entertained. This season was pretty much a bust. Equipping the bad guys in the same armor the mandolorian people wear is just a set up for Marvel style fights where no one dies since everyone has superpowers. Dumb.

Mando is probably regretting melting down that Beskar spear in that other show that also sucked. Something like that would be pretty handy right now.

I was thinking early on when he was on Mandalore walking by all those old helmets and armor, why didn't he collect a buttload of that to take back?

Mof Gideon's monologue ruined it for me.

Yeah, but not all mandalorians can afford beskar. Maybe he'll go back and dig through to find the good stuff later.
