Moore county, attack on power grid.

The People rolled right over without the slightest whimper when The PATRIOT ACT was passed. Most people have no idea what is even in it.

The People have shown en masse that they don’t care about privacy.

I was too young to vote but very clearly remember the Republicans saying, "if you have nothing to hide then there isn't anything to worry about." Even in middle school I knew that was stupid logic.

Most people: Deal with it, grumble about it on Facebook

CFF: Prepare to eat your neighbors 💀 💀

Yep. Republicans did that. They are not our friends either.
Republicans may not be the answer to all your problems but democrats are definitely the cause of them.
Take control of the republican party. Get rid of the swamp rats and they will become a better friend.

Look at Mark Robertson, one public speech given and he will soon be the governor of NC.

Anybody can make a difference if they try but thats the problem, it’s easier to just complain. 🤔

Ahh, to be young and strong again.

Unless you can remove the battery, you can not turn your phone completely off.
Which is why people need to get these pouches and get used to using them.
In 2020 when they started talking openly about] tracking people and their movements because of the China 19 flu, I bought these for the family.

My kids have them, and know to use them when traveling, especially at church, and for other reasons as well.

If people want privacy...they need to act to get it.
If they checked my phone, they will find holes where it cuts out all the time.
I even check my Gmail tracking, and so far this year [thanks to that pouch] I've traveled less then 10 miles.

If you have extra metal ammo cans laying around, wouldn't one of them provide the same shielding for your phone? Just keep a can in the car and pop the phone in it.

Great idea!

Duke Energy hired Hickory Police and Catawba County Sheriff Dept to sit at the substations all week. Looks like this will be a continuous paid gig for the near future.

It's with easy reach, that people can shoot and hit the substations from 600 to 1000 yards away, with a suppressed 6.5 creed, not that much noise at range.

Pretty sure the microwave is a decent Faraday cage. If your wanting to disappear at home, pop your phone in there.

Nuke plants have had armed security since 9/11 including Duke's Lake Wylie plant. They will just ask for rate increases to pass on the security costs now.

Hmmmm who has guns, knows what to break, and benefits from all this?

And by a guard that can't get out of his chair, much less stop a threat.

Duke Energy would rather build a 3 ft thick concrete wall that pay a person to do something. Got to keep paying those executives big money 💰 first.

It’s pretty important air flows across substations to dissipate heat but I feel like we will start to see walls erected around substations. I don’t know how they would achieve this as changing parts become difficult with walls and you certainly can’t go but so high with lines coming from overhead. Duke Energy is not going to pay someone to sit 24 hours a day at $100 per hour from a LE agency. Obviously our soft justice system is not deterring these types of terrorist acts.

Seems premature, and perhaps silly, to blame the soft justice system when the perpetrator hasn’t been caught yet and may not be a repeat offender. Not that the justice system isn’t soft.

Ridiculous. Is it necessary to go 4 years to convict on this incident and have one harsh sentencing to change the possibilities of this happening again? You can commit murder in this nation and be out in less than 15 years. Crime sentencing is a national disaster, and in some black communities seen as a badge of street cred.

When perpetrators weigh the results of committing crimes they are not researching sentencing for the act. They base it on a immediate feelings and if they can live with what is the negative side. Declining years of imprisonment conditions criminals to take that chance. They see family and friends who were felons back on the streets and that conditions society to think crime just might pay afterall.

T walls like what were used during the last two wars would be an easy solution. Bring in a rotator, move them when you need to do maintenance, set them back in place when done. Easy.

They are one of the brands Duke uses for fencing.
