My God son just graduated and was gifted a Mosin by his grandfather.

I bought him som ammo but want to pick up some stripper clips. Anyone have a good source? Everything I have found seems too expensive.

Also, for the gurus what can you tell me about this particular rifle?

Based on date might be tula dragoon M1891 not later m91/30
 
Look at the website overall; tons of info on moisin-nagant rifles

It is a Tula M91. But we'd need more pictures to say much more. As for stripper clips, the reproductions all suck. You really only want the originals. I've got a batch of original Izhevsk marked clips from old spam cans stashed somewhere around here in my gun junk/parts boxes. PM me a mailing address and I'll send you a few for free - though it might be a week or so before I get around to digging them out.

My daughter in law pumped over 100 rounds down range almost as fast as she could cycle them through the rifle... grinning from ear to ear.

I told her better her than me; I was done after 15.

I have never shot more than a box of ammo at a time. It's 2023 why can't they make decent new stripper clips?

It is due to them listing them as parts for the different individual guns. If you search for all parts for a Type 53 or a 91/30 it will show up in the list.
