I was riding bikes for over 45 years. In 2014, an 81 yo lady turned in front of me. My first and only accident. I replaced that bike with one just like it. Unfortunately, my developing health conditions made me sell that after only 250 miles. I can not ride any more.

Y'all ride like the wind because there may be a time you can't.

Damn I put almost 50k on a klr in o6/07. Great multipurpose scoot!

Now that my body is not allowing me to ride like I used to I would love to get a URAL if I can sell my Beemer. I'd make someone a serious deal!
 
I told the wife I was going to catch up on some stuff in the garage and change the oil in the motorcycle. She said, well why don't we take a ride? Followed by, do you mind if we stop at Wal-mart and pick up..... So, knowing my wife I converted the Sportster to a grocery getter. Changed seats, threw on the sissy bar, saddle bags and travel bag.
Great day for a ride. Rode down by the lake and I've never seen the ramp that busy. The lake looked like the 4th of July. It's almost like people have been couped up all week...

They do sound special. With the gear driven cams it’s a delicious symphony. It ain’t as fast as the new ones, but it sounds and feels plenty sporty!

Did you get a picture of the OEM headlight so you can show us the difference when your new LED comes in. It always amazes me when you see a group of bikes coming and some have LED's and some don't. The difference is huuge!

At least they make them right up in Youngsville. Or sell them from there anyway. I worked for Sylvania for ten years way back in the day but they are now owned by Osram, which is also German. Better than Chinese.

Edit: I just realized they are in fact using Osram LEDs.

They have a real good set of comparison pics of the beam patterns on their website. My buddy two doors down followed me home from the dealership on his 2019 Street Glide and I noticed how his headlight wasn’t nearly as visible in daylight as we would want. He put Probeams on his other two HDs that are long since sold and is also ordering one now for the SG.

Yes they have a location in Youngsville but do very little in NC they seem to cater to other events and get testy when you ask them about supporting NC events or businesses.....but like the elf said $20 is $20...

You know what's the worst part about 5PM UPS deliveries (when you have a west facing garage)?
Yer in there at 5:15PM when it’s a brazilian degrees installing whatever just came in.

Looks good. Does it have 2 or 3 bulbs in it? And what's that thing above the bulbs that looks like 3 coins side by side? Let's see how bright it is.

The three coins are the low beam. The two below are high beams.

The whole thing looks weird to me. One night this week my neighbor who has the same bike and hasn’t changed headlights yet and I will put them in the street after dark to compare.

Lunch in Pittsboro at Carolina Brewing. Only three of those are us, but check out the Indian Chief in back. It has a custom paint job of an Indian Chief on the tank. Will get pics later. It is bada$$. He lives six doors up.
