My EDC belt sucks

This was the one I was referring to.

Let's be clear: Curt makes a far superior leather belt. I rate his a 10 out of 10.

The Kore belt is around a 8/9 out of 10. The adjustable nature of the buckle system is very nice and I have enjoyed it. But if I had to toss all my belts and keep one, it would be the Fatboy without question.

I have to put in a vote for Beltman Belts. They are double layer leather belts. I have been running them for years and they are still stiff. There is a 7-hole option which I really like. Those holes are spaced 3/4" apart vs a more standard pattern of 5 holes with 1" spacing, which helps fine tune the fit.

It ain't the same company anymore, owner sold it

Velcro wears out faster than leather. I'd be happy you got 2 years out of it. @gunbelt can fix this problem for you.
I have not had the opportunity to purchase one of his belts (money has been tight), but I can tell you @gunbelt's holsters Are some of the best out there. My wife's has one and loves it

i tried the cobra buckle belt style and it was not for me, went back to leather.

A belt will hold your pants up for a decade, but a few years of toting a gun around will soften one up quite a bit. My MTR leather belt has served me well for about 2 years now, but its starting to loose a little stiffness.
I've been wearing the fat boy belt by @gunbelt everyday for 5 years with a gun. It's just broken in good.

Fatboy belts. Best leather I've ever worn, hands down. And he's a forum sponsor. That means a lot to me and just one of the many reasons Curt will continue to get my business

Sorry guys the AC kept me discombobulated all day. If I was a drinkin man the replace price would make me cry in my beer. I'll get back tomorrow. But yes I have the sizes requested & send them to me shooterb I can cut them down.

I got out for $60 worth of refrigerant. Thank god for Mfg warranties!

I know TheBeltMan personally, although I haven't seen him in a while... had two of his belts that lasted several years. Good stuff!

I also know Curt of FatBoyBelts, and I see him now and then at local gun shows... got two of his belts right now, and they have lasted several years. I much prefer FatBoyBelts.

Only problem with Curt is he is a big guy with a preference fer teeny little 1911s. I cain't figger it out.

Double layers stitched together? Fatboy belts have no "layers" just a solid piece of leather. Won't find no stitched layers to come apart there

Really? When did this happen?

From the website...

"David and Rachel Giles from Alabama heard that the business was for sale, and first met with Jim in August of 2015. After getting to know Jim and his lovely wife, and after some tough but friendly negotiations, the deal was sealed."

Checking out the Fatboy shop right now. Pretty slick. I dig it.

To be honest, I remember back at the other place Kurt putting some belts up for sale in the classifieds and it was like size 46 and 50 or something like that. Considering that and the name, I legitimately believed he only made belts for fat boys, otherwise I probably would have looked into it further. - Granted, I never contacted the DOJ and sought a discrimination lawsuit even though that's the trendy thing to do now.

oh no not at all, I genuinely believed it was like a fatboy only belt club or something. haha

I didn't know that either... Jim used to run it out of the basement of his condo, then he moved to a nicer rural place. It was just him and one employee workin' steady. Glad he found an exit, that's tough to do with some small businesses.

I have an original made by Jim Spiedel long before he sold the company. I have been wearing the same belt for over 10 years and it still holds up any gun I choose to wear on it . But I need another one cause my butt has gained weight and I'm down to the last hole in Belt.

Man andWife in Alabama bought it I think. I was told that he came to Jim's shop and worked with Jim for quite a while till he was making a quality belt up to Jim's standards.

I PMed a couple of you that were interested in blems. Remember buy from me here as prices are much better to CFF members.

If Curts were double layered they wouldn't fit in the belt loops. Who needs a double layer when the leather is this thick. My xx fat boy is almost as thick as my pinky finger.

Got my order in from curt today.
Here is a comparison of his fatboy belt vs what I'm calling his "slimline" belt.
Also added a couple photos of how the "buckle" works for those interested. Really stoked to not have to worry about work pants losing their belt loops now. And my little Motorola radio clip gave a sigh of relief.
Thanks Curt!

Can't believe I still don't have one of these. Been wanting one for years now. Seems like when I have the extra money, it slips my mind.

Check out Hank's belts. I bought mine last year. Copied and pasted form Amazon.
Hanks Extreme Gun Belt For CCW - Concealed Carry Belt - 17oz. Leather Shooting Belt - - Made in USA - 100-Year Warranty

If you haven't found a belt yet, I can vouch for the kore essentials gun belt too. I love mine.

Going on 4yr with my current wilderness 5 stitch.
I prefer Velcro for the infinite adjustability, like you.

I'm on 8 years on mine, and the velcro is starting to come unstitched.

I bought a liberty belt, but I didn't like it. Was working out a trade with a member here, belt for belt, with a fat boy. I personally don't like the clasp, but it may be just something to get used to. It's a very, very nice belt, and very sturdy.

That belt looks absolutely ridiculous.
Yeah...but it's covert. So nobody will see how ridiculous it looks. I assume you can see the pic only because nobody is wearing it?
