I've got a CZ P07 that I want to get the slide milled for a 507C. Has anyone used them? Heard a couple of good reviews, but wanted to ask

I used them and thought they did a great job at a reasonable/low price...but that was when he was in his garage in teh burbs of Kernersville
Now he's in Welcome, maybe the prices are higher and not as valuable.

NOW
I honestly do not remember what happened, but expect some negative reviews coming.
I think it had to do with vendor status but I may be way off on this.
Again, I thought he was fine, but that was 5 years ago

I’ve heard good things about Race City Defense in Mooresville. I currently own a G45 that was cut by them for an RMR and the work looks great. The RMR fit snug.

He told everyone here we were beneath him, and that he had real followers on instagram and YouTube. Arrogance is remembered by folks

This.

They rock. I’ve seen first hand a bunch of their milling projects. Generous sponsors of run n gun events too.

Had them do an rmr cut for my xmacro comp. Quick turnaround, excellent work. Fits tight and their cerakote job was clean. Couldn't ask for better

@contenderv07 Here’s the thread where Mark from NCengravers got his panties all wadded up and took his ball and went home. He deleted the posts but you can still read them where the OP quoted him.

Guy just seems like and arrogant little prick and I don’t care how good his work is, not someone who would ever get my business

but the real question is - how has the slide held up?

I was unfamiliar with the actions of NC Engravers prior to commissioning them to mill and cerakote my PCR. I would prefer recoil bosses in the optic cut and H series over C series cerakote, but cannot complain about the overall quality of work, especially for $160.

I've got a P01 that I need cut as well.. Looks awesome on yours!

He cut my G34 for a red dot. The previous owner had stripped one of the MOS plate hold-down screws, so he D&T larger diameter holes, and fit my DeltaPoint Pro snug in the pocket. Work was great, still fits snug. He was nice as can be, worked it out in two days. He was in the new shop at the time, and they didn’t even have the drywall sanded, yet they did just fine.

If the recoil bosses are the components of the optics pattern that cause the optic to maintain zero, he ruined your slide.

and...if the optic HAS recoil lugs, like your 407K does....then that's what maintains zero.

The benefits of recoil bosses over a precision optic cut can be debated; I stated my preference above. In regard to the PCR, it has held zero for just over 2200 rds, including having the optic removed and reinstalled to test return to zero.
