How does it handle at that speed? The interceptor utility has a top speed of 148 and 0 to 60 in 5 seconds. I wonder how much faster the Mustang is.The should have purchased the Bronco, more room and it runs at 100+MPH at 2K RPM. Ask me how I know.
The SSP program has done reenforcing of various components up to even roll bars for a few states (I know Kentucky did that years back). Originally the SSP Mustangs were the coupe not a fastback because of body stiffness and weighed a little less than hatchers. I’d guess there is an option somewhere for a little engineering … BUT it ain’t gonna add interior space for an “equipped” trooper.Tough to get out of in a hurry when wearing a vest and gun belt. The Crown Vic and Interceptor both have reinforced floors and seats, wonder if the police Mustang does?

Yes but we must render fealty and gold to our betters to do with as they will, remembe?SO happy to see my tax dollars being well spent on the kings fundraisers...... Tremendous waste of $$ and time. Zero utility and insanely expensive to implement at a time when the citizens are hurting monitarily.....🤬🤡 clown world... pick up that can citizen and don't question king cooper...
It’s time to change who defines “our betters”.Yes but we must render fealty and gold to our betters to do with as they will, remembe?
NCHP doesn't have cages in the Charger. As I understand it they usually put suspects in the passenger seat. They do a lot of things different from most depts. If they arrest someone do they put him in the trunk?
Some of the PDs around the triangle have them. Travelling much over 70mph reportedly burns BEV range, and take home vehicles make charging complicated. They didn't go with the Mach-E version?
I am one of the last people anyone would accuse of backing the blue. We pay $42k for V6 Pursuit Durangos before upfitting, doubt it cost much more, if any. There is no police model sedan in production anymore.Yay. More cool toys we have to pay for…and if you don’t like it at all the “back the blue no matter what” crowd will pounce.
I can't speak for everyone but the trooper that arrested me pawned off the uber to the jail off on a sheriff deputy.NCHP doesn't have cages in the Charger. As I understand it they usually put suspects in the passenger seat. They do a lot of things different from most depts.
It has to cost less than all the fully outfitted Yukons, no??I am one of the last people anyone would accuse of backing the blue. We pay $42k for V6 Pursuit Durangos before upfitting, doubt it cost much more, if any. There is no police model sedan in production anymore.
When my son was in, every once in a while, he would have to patrol in a car that didn't even have a siren.Sooner or later some Yankee will suggest it and we will see ‘em …

They'll probably be hanging out until the paddy wagon arrives.Troopers will be laughing their butts off while trying to force a 6'5" 300 pound dude in cuffs into that tiny back seat. In fact, anyone bigger than a small child won't fit without pretzel work.
I remember when I was a teenager and one local municipality used Chrysler K-Cars.When my son was in, every once in a while, he would have to patrol in a car that didn't even have a siren.
They would play siren sounds from their phone over the PA
Had those as an MP in Germany. Great for the narrow streets in the cities. Sucked on the AutobahnI remember when I was a teenager and one local municipality used Chrysler K-Cars.
Try driving a M37 on the Autobahn.Had those as an MP in Germany. Great for the narrow streets in the cities. Sucked on the Autobahn
