Part of the reason why I'm on this site is the exchange of information. It's also camaraderie, as well. So it kinda irks me when someone says something like "Google it yourself".
Yes...some of that information might be easily found by a simple search. But we're a community of similarly-minded people here and that's important, too.
An answer to a question such as this is best provided with a link supporting your own answer. This way the person asking the question gets an answer with a source to back it up.
A source which that person can now refer to in the future as well.
Not every source out there is necessarily clear or easy to find.
Here's my answer:
Visit handgunlaw.us and click the link for NC.
Every page for each state is organized the same way, so you'll be able to find similar information on any state's laws in the same place on its page.
Scroll down to the section labeled "Do "No Gun Signs" Have the Force of Law?". There you'll not only find your answer, but a reference to the relevant state link as the source of that answer. This way you can go straight to the state statutes and verify it.
This is important, because even though this site does an excellent job of staying up to date, you can check the source itself to be sure.
The last page contains a list of updates. For NC, on 10/15/2021, this page was checked for all quoted statutes against the 2021 statutes.
